   : : Drastic Altering of Game Pace : :
          The game is now s... l... o... w... e... d... down. Weapons or armor above iron requires nearly double the resources. Tools no longer follow basic recipes, they are completely modular and can become significantly more effective (or defective) than their base counterparts. 

   : : Companions are a Must : :
          Be it with fellow Monumentians or curious new companions, without the cooperation of yourself and others you are facing a very hostile world. The foes around you can carry gravitational new abilities that even the most experienced Minecrafter will find difficult. Hectic dungeons and changing seasons leaves much work to be done if you ever want to reach the end. Even if you make it, the dragon holds new suprises that promises a fight like you've never seen.

   : : Endless Requirements to an Endless World : :
            To be rewarded is to be bold. Much of what there is to learn is undocumented. Astonishingly powerful weapons and items can only be found from lengthy adventures or by facing foes that would require an army to take on. Technology, magic, crafting, farming- every single path you can take will be new and challenging. 


In this modpack, your only path to success is a path with friends.

   : : Official Server : :
         Monumental SMP's official server is an invite-only server; an individual already part of Monumental SMP must sponsor you to connect! However, there may come opportunities to gain a sponsor, keep your eye on the news panel!

   : : Local Host : :
          All because you aren't in the official server, doesn't mean you can't have fun. You may also host a world on your local machine. You can either stay in single-player mode or select "Open to LAN"-- this will give you a custom link that allows anyone else to join you!

Please note that certain configurations and performance improvements are exclusive to the dedicated server. As such, the experience you recieve via Local Host may differ drastically to that of which is advertised.
