Description
# Mutant-Spore-Apocalypse
**A town that builds itself, in a world two plagues want dead.**
Place a Town Hall and go exploring. **Colony Autopilot** runs your MineColonies town for you: it picks the sites, raises every building, lays lamp-lit roads, hires and arms the citizens, runs the research and rebuilds whatever the war breaks. You keep the treasury full of **ColonyBucks**, taken from the monsters you slay and the ruins you loot.
It had better hold. **On day 12 the RedNight falls.** The **Spore Inquisition** infection pours out of world spawn: mounds that eat the land, infected that hunt everything alive, calamities that besiege your walls, and an apocalypse only your own offering can end.
The fungus is not alone. From **day 20 the mutants** of **Mutationcraft** rise: assimilated animals and villagers that grow, breed parasites and evolve, with advanced mutants on day 40, elites on day 60 and bosses on day 80. The two plagues hunt each other, and your town stands in the middle.
## Inside
- **A self-building colony** with guards, an armoury that keeps them in the best gear the town can make, and its own economy.
- **A two-plague war** that arrives on a schedule the chat counts down.
- **Explore and adventure:** YUNG's structures, When Dungeons Arise, Dungeons and Taverns, Towns and Towers and Alex's Mobs, on gentle Tectonic terrain made for wandering.
- **Fight back:** Better Combat swings and combos, Combat Roll, TaCZ guns, Spartan Shields and Ars Nouveau magic.
- **Find your way home:** Waystones, Xaero's minimap and world map.
- **Quality of life:** vein mining, backpacks, a grave for your items, sleeping bags, falling trees, JEI and Jade.
- **Play together:** proximity voice chat, and on a server a fallen friend can be picked back up before they die (Hardcore Revival; off in single-player).
- **Looks the part:** Complementary shaders, the Excalibur texture pack and Distant Horizons.
## Getting started
1. Install with the CurseForge app, 8 GB of RAM or more. Shaders are on; press **K** to toggle them.
2. Create a world and place the **Town Hall** from your starter kit.
3. Mob griefing and fire spread are off, so creepers break no blocks and fires stay put.
4. Hosting a server? Open UDP port **24454** for voice chat.
## Credits
74 CurseForge projects (72 mods, a shaderpack and a texture pack, all linked in modlist.html inside the pack), with thanks to their authors, and to **EminGT and the Complementary team** for Complementary Reimagined (credited here per its license).
