Description

Version 1.2.3  -- Created 4/5/2020

This is still in development. Done some testing and it works fine for me so far.

Bugs noticed:

1. Can't drink water with mining helmet on.

Optifine is NOT optional for this mod. Look up how to download and install it.

Night life Craft

Harder than RL Craft (but more fair...)

Description:

Basically you get 1 minecraft day to create a shelter and prepare for a permanent nightfall (it is very important you make use of this time or you might as well delete the world and restart. It is near impossible to do anything productive wandering around in the darkness. I do however give you a saving grace of having a single torch in your inventory when you respawn.) The advanced darkness mod makes sure you won't be able to see anything at all unless you have torches(I also added a few other lighting mods). Also MrCrayfish's gun mod is in this pack and it is still balanced. The guns can only help so much when you can't see the mobs. IC2, Buildcraft, and thermal expansion are in the pack mainly because they have items that can help with the difficulty. Adventure Tools has a flashlight and a helmet light which can help as well.

Has plenty of Mob mods that increase difficulty. Skeletons will one shot you even with copper armor on. So now you can see why guns are added. Zombies typically travel in packs and oh yeah... the slenderman is in the pack.

See the rlcraft starting guide to understand how to start this pack (only the beginning is similar to RL craft). This pack doesn't have lycanites or ice and fire for fairness reasons. There are no dungeons at the moment. There is a dimension mod I am still testing. I may add more dungeons in the future but I only want one that feels less gimmicky than the RL craft ones. Maybe if there are any mods that you can only go to the dungeon(and fight the boss) once (like the end). I haven't checked yet. I have been playing this pack since its creation and am only getting to the point of being able to explore now.

I may add an endgame easter egg later on to turn the sun back on.

As for the main goal right now, I think the contrast of a beautiful house in a world of darkness is a good one to achieve.

FAQ:

1. How to make light gray concrete for the gun workbench? Make light gray concrete powder and put it into water.

2. Can you still set spawns? Yes just sleep in a bed.

[Spoiler]Strategy/How to not die in the darkness every 5 seconds:

1. Dig gravel to get flint, break leaves to get sticks. Make knife. Use knife to break grass for fiber. Craft fiber into string. Make hatchet.

2. Collect a lot of wood, make flint pickaxe. Mine 8 cobble for a furnace.

3. Make a lot of charcoal for a lot of torches.

4. Establish a large perimeter of light. Best if on an island.

And there you go! Now you will be set up to not die in the darkness every 5 seconds.
