About

Description

This modpack is specially tailored for the Sea Dragon species from BlackAures' 'Dragons Survival' mod, in which players are able to choose from three dragon varieties to play through. This modpack is small and lightweight so that lower-end computers can run it as well, and each of the mods included has been hand-picked for how they enhance the gameplay experience.

Q+A

Q. I just started my game and I'm a human. Is the dragons mod broken?

A. Dragons Survival is not broken; this is how the mod works. Becoming a dragon is very easy: mining ores has a chance to drop Elder Dragon Dust, craft nine of these dusts into an Elder Dragon Bone. Use this bone to right-click a block (oak log, stone, mossy cobblestone, sandstone) to create a Dragon Altar. Right click the altar and you can choose your dragon species to play as.

Q. I want to play as one of the other dragons, not the sea dragon.

A. I'll be making modpacks for each of the other species as well, but for now the sea dragon pack is the only completed one. I will provide links to the other packs in this description once they are finished. You're free to play this pack as one of the other species but you may miss out on the full sea dragon experience if you do.

Q. Why can't I eat this food?

A. As a sea dragon, you need to eat food from the water, meaning fish and seaweed. There are mods in this pack that add many more fish and undersea plants for you to eat.

Q. What does the water droplet bar above my hunger bar mean?

A. As a sea dragon, you also breathe water and can only stay above water for a limited time. Your water meter can be recharged by standing in water, standing on certain blocks, or walking through rain. Being able to breathe underwater also means that you can explore the deep oceans with ease, and there's plenty of new mobs, blocks, and biomes to find down there!

Q. If I'm a dragon then why don't I have wings?

A. You can earn your wings by talking to the Ender Dragon, no need to fight her :)

Q. Why am I so small? I want to be a big dragon.

A. The Dragon Dust and Dragon Bones from earlier have another use. Craft nine Dragon Bones into a Heart Essence, and right click an empty space with it; this will cause you to grow slightly and give you another heart. Keep mining and crafting to reach the size you want. Being small and being giant both have their separate advantages, so neither is 'the better choice' and it comes down to how you prefer to play.

Q. Why do I keep finding the same fish if there's so many?

A. Many of these fish aren't found everywhere like the default Minecraft fish. Try traveling to different biomes and fishing there to discover them all!

Q. I found a locked chest, how do I open it?

A. Keep looking! You can find more chests buried under gravestones, tombs, and mausoleums, and occasionally they won't have a lock on them. These may contain keys, among other loot, that can open your locked chests. You can also rarely find gemstones undeground that can be tossed into wishing wells for loot; this has a chance to give keys as well.

Q. I want to fight and kill dragons, not be them.

A. This is not the modpack for you, then. There are many other modpacks where you can fight dragons to your heart's content, but that's not the focus of this one.

Q. I have a suggestion for an improvement/ mod to add/thing to fix?

A. Just comment down below! Please note that if you are rude, demanding, or impatient, then I may not respond to you.

All credit to the original mod creators, all I have done is put them together in a pack :)
