About

Description

A modpack to enhance vanilla world generation, combat, and game progression in a vanilla style while adding unobtrusive RPG and magic related content.

Combat: adding more weapon types and levels of weaponry like greatswords, spears, and maces, with their own uniqe weapon properties. Since no combat overhaul mod is in place, the vanilla style and feel of combat is kept, with no extra fancy mechanics. All new types of food were added, and with new magic, progression, and RPG elements, combat will be familiar but hopefully not stale. Mobs are stronger and more aware as well, making your upgraded arsenal neccissary to survive.

Magic: multiple magic mods adding magically capable weapons, staffs, and bows. Trinket inegration with existing and added magical artifacts allows you to buff yourself more than ever before.

Progression: with hundreds of new biomes in the Overworld, Nether, and End, you'll always be finding new blocks, ores, and challenges, meaning that killing the Ender Dragon is far from the end of your game. Not to mention the lead up to fighting is much more content rich as well.

RPG: unobtrusive RPG mechanics were added to help with the style and progression goals of the pack. Now you can use your levels to upgrade skills and stats. Don't be suprised if you have over double your usual health later in the game, or much higher damage and constitution for dungeons.

Generation: updated terration generation and new proceedurally generated content means exploring will never be boring again (theoretically). Tons of challenging dungeons, uniquely empowered mobs, and base buildings yours for the taking.

Style: Distant Horizons, Fresh Animations, and Complimentary shaders means the pack will look great while playing great. An added minimap will also help you track what you've explored easily and effortlessly.

This pack is a personal one for me, my friends, and family that I decided to publish and share. If you have any feedback or suggestions, let me know! I'd love to hear your ideas.

IMPORTANT - This is a beefy modpack. Distant Horizons and Complimentary shaders don't come cheap yo. If your computer isn't able to handle it, I recommend this:

  1. Keep your render distance low, about 8. Distant Horizons on medium qualty and low generation speed is enough to make up for it as your world loads
  2. Turn Complimentary down. The cost with both on increases exponentially. Use the very low profile (turn FXAA on). I suggest turning on Advanced Colored Lights though, as they add incredible scene depth and beauty
  3. Turn shaders off. That's it. It's just them. They're what's doing it.
