Description
Explore a frozen wasteland and try to survive in icy conditions. The world has been taken over by a never-ending winter, with every biome covered in snow. Fight to keep warm and find resources to thrive.
Featuring:
- Primal Winter - The world is covered in a layer of snow, and weather is replaced with blinding snowstorms
- Cold Sweat - Keep warm in the snow or cool in the heat otherwise you'll incur damage over time
- Spartan Weaponry - Gather the right weapons in your arsenal to combat the monsters after you
- Farmer's Delight (+addons) - Survive in the winter with warming soups and tasty meals
- Rustic Engineer - Create machines from wood and iron to travel the world with
- Terralith - Explore various biomes, though they're all covered in snow from the eternal winter
- Many structures to find and explore, much loot to be gained from mobs and chests
There is no End, only the frozen Overworld and the boiling Nether. There are no bosses, just hoards of undead and monsters to fight.
I highly recommend checking out the Cold Sweat wiki for how to handle the temperatures.
Tips to survive the cold:
- Some biomes or blocks retain heat better than others
- Don't be wet for too long or you'll freeze
- You can only sleep when the ambient temp is 10, cozy up by a campfire.
- Line your armour with warm materials on a Sewing Table
- Or make warm clothes out of goat fur
- Keep your waterskin warmed on a campfire
- Stuck for a base in the early game? Dig down underground.
Figured out the cold? Try surviving in the Nether next.
GlobalGameRules should automatically allow weather transitions, but if it doesn't then make sure that 'doWeatherCycle' is set to true.
