Primaeval

Primaeval throws the player into a primitive world of survival. Most vanilla mobs are disabled, and in their place the player must contend against ravenous dinosaurs and other fantastical beasts.

Dinosaurs:
Fossils and Archaeology; Revived and Prehistoric Spawns populate the world with various realistic prehistoric beasts. Vanilla animals are rarer.
An included datapack causes prehistoric creatures to drop all the things vanilla animals drop, including leather and feathers. Certain creatures can be sheared or milked. Meat of prehistoric creatures can be used in certain cooking recipes that call for vanilla meats.

Survival:
True Darkness, Dynamic Lights, Cold Sweat, and other mods means survival will be tougher and harsher. The fittest will survive. The weak will perish (and then respawn at their bed). Spice of Life rewards the player for eating well-cooked foods.

Technology:
Stay savage, or pursue the power of industry in the Immersive Engineering mod.
Roots 3 adds earthy, primitive magic to your adventure. Or; Embrace the pulp savagery of the Blood Magic mod.

Cozy:
The Macaw's series, and a handful of other mods, means you have a cozy cave to return to after a long day of hunting and gathering. Farmer's Delight helps you cook a sumptuous meal with the dinosaurs you hunted.
