About
Description
For me, the gameplay experience of most TFC modpacks isn't ideal, so I made one myself.
This is a TFC × Create × Embers Modpack that meets my minimum standards for playability. It avoids excessive complexity, and around 60% of the items have been properly adjusted.
If you're a beginner, this modpack may not be suitable for you—there’s little in-game guidance aside from a basic questline.
Progression Overview
- Age 1 follows the core TFC progression with minimal modifications.
- Crucible recipes for Andesite Alloy and Dawnstone have been added to transition into the next Age.
- Starting from Age 2, you can craft and use Create machines for advanced ore processing. Use Create: Metallurgy to melt metals or create alloys as a replacement for the crucible. Casting molds and recipes have been added for all TFC tool parts.
- Another major focus of Age 2 is the beginning of the Industrial Era. You'll need to locate and extract oil, and build a Distillation Tower — it will become the solid foundation for your technological advancement. Once you craft your first generator, you'll officially enter the Electrical Age. (In the early game, your only sources of rotational force are windmills and water wheels — steam engines have been disabled.)
- The Blaze Burner is disabled, so you must use the Dwarven Burner, powered by Embers, to heat Create-related recipes.
- You can install the Excavation upgrade on the Ember Bore to mine TFC ores. Any furnace-compatible fuel can power it.
- Age 3 marks the beginning of the Electrical Age. Electricity is a powerful and convenient energy source, but learning to use it correctly can be challenging — voltage and power management aren’t always easy. Once you’ve mastered the basics, your next goal is to obtain aluminum through electrolysis, a key material essential to advancing through this stage.
- You can build larger stress devices (engines) and power-generating structures (rotors).
- Mix ethylene and propylene to produce plastic, then process it and install resistors and capacitors to create circuit boards.
- You can also build an arc furnace to smelt steel or produce alloys more efficiently.
To be continued.
Planned Updates
- Version 1.0 may include new mods such as Ad Astra and Applied Energistics 2. Meteor generation is planned on the Moon, containing ores from other mods to kick off a new Age.
- By the way, this modpack will not include the Thermal series or Mekanism, as supporting them involves too many compatibility requirements—
and frankly, I'm too lazy for that.
