Note: This modpack is currently in alpha and actively in development. Features are subject to change. For those that have already played this, new world is required as worldgen has been overhauled.
Protocol Expansion is a tech-focused Minecraft modpack centered around Immersive Engineering and Create, designed for players who are familiar with technology mods and want a deeper, more immersive experience.
Rather than encouraging simple "lawn bases," this pack pushes players to construct meaningful infrastructure and logistics networks. Core survival mechanics are modified and primitive light sources like torches are changed and limited forcing players to rely on technological solutions for basic needs.
Narrative-driven cutscenes and interactive quest progression are integrated into gameplay, offering a storyline alongside mechanical depth. As players progress, they’ll unlock access to infinite resource automation, a key component in approaching the modpack's challenging endgame.
Currently, four chapters are available, with more content actively in development.
