Description

Psychosis

A Minecraft horror experience where perception itself cannot be trusted.

You are not always alone.

Sometimes you will hear footsteps where there are none.

Sometimes you will see movement that disappears when you look directly at it.

Sometimes the world will react to you in ways that should not be possible.

And sometimes…

it is real.

Your mind is part of the gameplay.

The longer you stay in dangerous areas, the more unstable your perception becomes.

You will not always be able to trust what you see, hear, or feel.

Something is in the forest.

It does not always approach.

It does not always attack.

But it always notices.

Explore the details below to discover what awaits you.

What is Psychosis?

Psychosis is a horror-focused Minecraft experience built around atmosphere, immersion, and psychological tension.

Instead of relying only on monsters, the world itself becomes unpredictable. Darkness, sound, exploration, and your own perception all work together to create constant uncertainty.

Every journey may reveal new mysteries, disturbing events, or something that was never meant to be found.

Sanity System

Your mind is just as important as your health.

As your sanity decreases, reality becomes increasingly unreliable.

You may experience:

  • Hallucinations
  • False sounds
  • Shadow figures
  • Distorted perception
  • Unexplained events
  • The feeling of being constantly watched

Not everything you experience is real.

But not everything is imagined either.

Creatures & Survival

Many entities react to the world around them.

Noise, movement, and other player actions can attract unwanted attention.

Some creatures hunt immediately.

Others prefer to observe before making their move.

Staying hidden can often be just as important as fighting.

Exploration

The world hides abandoned places, forgotten stories, mysterious structures, disturbing discoveries, dangerous forests, terrifying caves, and supernatural encounters.

Exploration rewards curiosity, but not every secret wants to be discovered.

Story & Mystery

Psychosis contains environmental storytelling, hidden lore, mysterious notes, secret locations, and discoveries scattered throughout the world.

Each expedition may uncover another piece of the truth.

Or another reason to fear it.

Building

Build anything from small cabins to large settlements using a wide variety of decorative blocks, furniture, and building options while surviving in an unpredictable world.

Immersion

The modpack introduces numerous environmental systems, interactive features, visual improvements, ambient effects, and gameplay mechanics designed to make the world feel alive.

Every system works together to create a deeper horror experience.

Optimization

Psychosis has been heavily optimized to deliver smooth gameplay despite its large amount of content.

The focus is on stability, memory efficiency, and consistent performance across a wide range of hardware.

Recommended Shaders

Low-End PCs

  • CTR VCR

High-End PCs

  • Spooklementary

Shaders are highly recommended for the best atmosphere.

Important Information

Before playing:

  • Configure your settings and keybinds.
  • Do not disable the included resource packs.
  • Do not manually update individual mods.
  • Avoid adding extra mods unless you understand the possible compatibility issues.

Psychosis uses a heavily customized configuration designed specifically for this experience.

Beta Status

This is the first public beta release.

Future updates will continue expanding the world with new events, creatures, mechanics, stories, structures, and atmospheric improvements.

This is only the beginning.

If you think something is watching you... it probably is.
