About

Description

About the Quantus Server:

Q: What makes Quantus different?

A: Quantus is an organic Minecraft server, meaning it will evolve to meet players needs, but will not break existing content. It's about being creative with what you have to work with. It's not a grind fest, not a crafting rabbit-hole. The players will do as they please and create the true meaning of Quantus, the Moderators are only there to enforce griefing.

Q: Where is Draconic Evolution? I like ExtraUtilities, can we add Extreme Reactors?

A: No. Even though I have a great appreciation for technical mods and progression, this is a social building/trading/adventuring server, we want people to build neat things, collect things, share things with their friends.

Q: How do you define "balanced?"

A: Everyone has access to every feature in the mod pack without donating any money. You can't accelerate your progress through payments, so everything that anyone earns on the server is something to be proud of. If you see that someone has found a faster way to generate blocks that you want, ask to see how they did it and copy them. Sharing Minecraft knowledge is great!

Q: How do you make money and keep the server up? A: We use our own money. The enjoyment of a community and creating something bigger than ourselves is the most rewarding. If cost ever became an issue, the community would be offered to host themselves and a FULL world save would be provided publically so someone else could take the torch. (This is extremely unlikely, but we have a plan.)

Q: How long will this server last? Can I safely build on it? A: Seeing as Minecraft Java is very likely to stop at 1.12. We have decided to launch on 1.12 so that the server will survive as long as people are still playing Minecraft Java. Q: How old do I have to be to play on Quantus? A: If you are old enough to respect other peoples opinions, space, and right to be on the server, you are old enough.
