About

Description

Please, read this while you can.

QUESTioned (Yeah I know, cool name) is an optimization modpack for standalone VR/PCVR/PC Minecraft, without changing vanilla behavior.

Note

Something I want to note :

Many people probably think that making a performance boost modpack is just "Take a bunch of mods and mix them together", well that's kind of true, but the result will be a modpack with 280+ mods that eats all your ram and destroys your performance. This modpack, instead, was tested and configured in the best way possible to get the most out of your computer. Enjoy (:

Also please join my Discord. Thank you for reading and thanks to the mods creators.

Warning

Warning :

When opening the game/a world, it may lag. Just wait a bit and it will fix itself.

Or host the world in a server (like Aternos, it's free), since worldgen is the heavy part.

(This problem happens only on standalone VR headsets, not on PCVR/PC !)

I also recommend using "The Ocular Migraine" (free) or "Quest Games Optimizer" ($9.99) for Meta Quests, they let you change various options to improve the headset perfomance/quality, like :

  • CPU/GPU Level
  • Refresh Rate
  • Display resolution (per-eye)
  • Fixed Foveated Rendering (FFR)
  • And much more ...

without resetting after a reboot.

(For example, I use 85hz and 1441×1441 because of the res limit Questcraft has. On standalone Meta Quest 2 I usually get smooth 70-90FPS using this modpack with some other mods)

Why ?

This modpack was made because of the lack of computational power required to locally run Minecraft: Java Edition on VR headsets, like the Meta Quest 2. (And the lack of well made AI-Less performance only modpacks for VR headsets)

Or, in simpler terms, This_Modpack+Slow_Headset=VROOM

What ?

The main focus of this modpack is offering a survival (both IRL and in Minecraft) friendly experience, with the ability to play smoothly with high render distance.

What does this modpack contain ?

This modpack only contains (tested, configured and working) performance mods, anything else like QoL mods are not included.

May contain gluten.

What's this modpack hardware target ?

This modpack was mainly made for the Meta Quest 2, but it can run on other headsets or computers. In fact, the mods are tested on a desktop and then published to Modrinth.

Can this modpack run on a normal computer ?

As stated before, yes it can. No configuration needed.
