About
Description

The time has come! Race to Ascension is a Forge, 1.16, quest-based modpack. RtA values balance and immersion in its mod choices. We also take pride in having made almost every feature of every mod useful in some way; systems like conveyor belts, corporea networks, and trains that usually get sidelined by mods like Refined Storage are now very practical. Progression is driven mainly by recipe changes but we’ve provided a quest book to guide the player along their technological journey. Players can expect genuine discoveries and a reasonable dose of realism to make their progression experience enjoyable.
One may be wondering what they can expect upon starting up a wonderful game of Race to Ascension. I’m glad you wondered! One of the first things you’ll notice is that you don’t immediately have much at your disposal; many recipes are hidden. The reason being is you’re a brand new person in a strange and unfamiliar world. It’s not natural that you would wake up knowing how to make nuclear reactors and perform magic, right? It is only by exploring this aforementioned strange and unfamiliar world that you will learn these things and eventually ascend to a higher existence.
One also may be wondering why they should choose Race to Ascension over other packs. I’m glad you wondered that too. As the first paragraph humbly brags, we are all about immersion, balance, and discovery here in RtA; this is not a kitchen sink pack! We have taken care in our mod selection process to only include mods that we felt genuinely contributed something to the pack. The result is a unique, hand-crafted experience, not just a random pile of mods or a standard-issue, linear, quest pack.
As for credits, the main menu buttons were made in Tetra's GUI style by Aefre, our team artist. The textures for Quark's slate blocks were copied from the Rustic mod with permission from the Rustic developer. Roughly half of the custom Tetra materials were made by myself via data pack while the other half comes from a lovely mod called Tetra Pak.
