Project Eden - an experimental exploration pack (BETA).

150r.png

Project Eden is a vanilla-esque modpack where progression revolves primarily around exploring and discovering new things about the world. The player starts with knowledge of many versatile blocks, armors, and tools to work with, and can explore the world to unlock certain mods. This pack is meant to be slightly more difficult than vanilla, but still provide a fair yet challenging experience to both new and veteran players alike. The mods included are intended to break away from vanilla while maintaining the sandbox feel of the game.

  •  This pack uses End Remastered, a mod that requires the player to collect unique Ender Eyes to unseal The End. Methods to obtain these eyes have been modified to be significantly more challenging. These Ender Eyes, however can be used to create powerful Ender Artifacts
  • Hidden Mods - At first, many aspects of the world will be 'strange' to the player. You will need to find that mod's "lost text" in order to unlock it. Unlocking hidden mods is entirely optional, and the pack is able to be played to its end without unlocking a single one.
  • The Hint System - completing certain tasks in-game may give you a hint. These hints may lead to Ender Eye locations, great treasure, or even Hidden Mods.
  •  Expert Mode - Upon collecting all 12 eyes, the world will enter Expert modeIn Expert mode, mobs are even more difficult than before, raids last longer, and the player unlocks The Smeltery, which can be used to forge powerful gear from almost any material.
  • Master Mode - Master Mode starts whenever the Ender Dragon is defeated for the first time. The difficulty remains the same, but a terrible secret is uncovered...

  • Adventurer's Log - Players can craft an Adventurer's Log, which contains documentation for most new additions that aren't already documented in-game, stores hints, and also holds Achievements and Challenges for you to beat.
  • Challenges - Challenges range from fun builds to beating certain bosses in goofy ways. Optional, but fun nevertheless.
  • Combat Changes - Players are to consume a 'feather' meter to dash. The dash can be used to avoid damage or clear gaps. Heavy armor decreases meter. In addition, shields are now able to be raised right before taking damage to Parry, but have a cooldown after lowering.
  • Harder Mobs - Mobs are now smarter, can break fragile blocks, and even loot opened chests.
  • Bosses - Many new challenging bosses for the player to fight. Some may prove to be more difficult than others.
  • Ores - Many new ores are able to be found underground. Recipes have been modified to make ores useful throughout the game.
  • Decoration - Many new decorative blocks and building tools are available. Included blocks are meant to provide builders with new options while not taking away creativity.
  • Armors - New Armors have been curated to provide unique buffs and serve specific purposes
  • Crops and Foods - Many, many new foods can be cooked. You can eat unique foods to permanently boost your maximum health.
  • Critters and Friends - Many new animals can be interacted with or even tamed. Tamed animals can even be enchanted via Collar Tags
  • Loot - Many new artifacts and relics can be found while adventuring, which can be equipped in the Curios menu.
  • New Biomes and Structures - Many, many new biomes and structures to explore.
  • Revamped Nether - In addition to the usual new Nether additions, generation has been changed to completely remove the bedrock ceiling. Safe travels!
  • Enchantments and Gear - Gear can be enchanted up to Level 100 via Apotheosis enchantment. Enchantments have been reworked to reflect this change. Gear can also be Affixed. Affixes are tiered, and provide special powers to items.
  • ...And Much More!  - You get the idea.

This pack has been a bit of a pet project for me for the last couple of months. I've been playing Modded Minecraft years and I wanted to finally make a modpack of my own. I am more than welcoming of any feedback, as I want to improve in the future. All that side, keep in mind that this pack is still in BETA, and while I will try to refrain from world-breaking changes, keep in mind that they are possible in-between updates. Even if you don't give this pack a try, thank for reading this far down!
