Description
Thank you for checking out Runes & Gears!
RNG is a large 1.21.1 modpack filled to the brim with mods for magic, tech, exploration, food, building and so much more! Built with a computer performance focused mindset.
This pack was created to enjoy with my partner, the type of person who enjoys cozy building and mermaid magic over the "ugly" industrial tech mods that I enjoy. So, I sought to create an experience where both types of mods, and people, felt at home. This pack is perfect for new modded Minecraft players or experienced player seeking to explore mods different from their usual ones.
-----
No matter the type of person you are, whether you're a mage, techie, farmer, or builder looking to play alone or with others, this pack has content for everyone to enjoy.
Expanded Overworld & Ocean
- Enjoy vivid new biomes added by Oh The Biomes We've Gone and Regions Unexplored with a diverse range of new mobs from [Let's Do] Wilder Nature.
- Explore a deeper ocean filled with new structures and find new fish swimming about from Aquaculture 2 next to sharks from Ben's Sharks and new merfolk from Sea Dwellers. Even become a mermaid yourself with Mermod!
Magic
- Huge assortment of magic mods to choose from for a range of different playstyles and aesthetics. Enjoy crafting spells with Ars Nouveau, performing druidic rituals with Roots 4, or siphoning blood from creatures you kill with EvilCraft.
- For those who would like to try automation without going too deep into tech mods, try out StarbuncleMania to have your own little helpers!
Tech
- This modpack focuses on two big classics, Immersive Engineering and Create, to enable an immersive tech experience. A personal favorite, EnderIO, was also included as I felt it wasn't too out of place.
- Try out lesser known tech mods like Nautec to freshen your experience.
- Further, you can hide your "ugly" tech constructions in a Hyperbox so you don't mess up that cottage-core house you worked so hard on right?
- Mods like Generator Galore will also allow less techy players to easily power things they may need!
Food
- New types of fruits, veggies, and other crops can be found scattered around the world from mods like Farmer's Delight or the Let's Do series! Plant, cultivate, harvest, and then turn them into delicious food, tea, wine, and more!
Building
- There are tons of new building blocks to choose from! Be it furniture from the Macaw's series of mods, new block types added by Chipped or new glass types added, there's so many building blocks you might even have to test them out in creative.
- Rather manage a colony and let them handle the building? Me too. Make an entire, lively town with Minecolonies!
Exploration
- You'll run into tons of new structures in the overworld from mods like Structory, Moog's Structures, Towns and Towers, and more! What kind of monsters and treasure will you find?
- Go beyond the overworld, not just into overhauled Nether and End dimensions, but added dimensions like the classic Aether, the deep purple Eternal Starlight dimension, or the deeper than bedrock Undergarden!
-----
I highly recommend a minimum of 8.5 GB / 8500 MB allocated memory for the smoothest experience. As with any large modpack, go easy on the chunk loading.
Credit to all mod authors, if you would like a mod removed, please inform me. People may feel free to copy configs into your own packs. Icon and background photo used are by Dan Meyers on Unsplash.
