SOMETHING TALL is an atmospheric Minecraft horror modpack designed to transform the familiar world into an immersive and unsettling experience.

Combining horror elements, enhanced animations, atmospheric shaders, extended render distance and performance improvements, this modpack offers a new way to experience Minecraft.

Included Mods

Horror & Gameplay

  • It Was Tall – The main horror mod, introducing a mysterious and terrifying presence into the Minecraft world.

Animations & Visuals

  • Better Animations Collection – Improves the animations of various Minecraft creatures, making the world feel more alive.
  • Photon Shader – Enhances graphics with atmospheric lighting, shadows, reflections and visual effects.
  • Distant Horizons – Extends the visible world by rendering distant terrain using simplified level-of-detail models.

Performance

  • Sodium – Optimizes Minecraft rendering to improve FPS and overall performance.

  • Locator Bar – Adds a locator bar to help players track nearby entities and improve navigation.
