Sandstorms & Co. is a progression-focused NeoForge modpack built for a long-running multiplayer world with friends. The pack is designed around slower, more meaningful progression, custom quest lines, balanced automation, exploration goals, server-side events, and a stronger sense of long-term character growth.

This is not a kitchen-sink pack where everything is available instantly. Recipes, storage progression, automation, teleportation, and high-tier upgrades have been adjusted so players naturally move through early, mid, and late-game systems.

  - Distant Horizons/client-side visual distance support
  - Large exploration world with structures, mobs, farming, tech, magic-adjacent systems, and quality-of-life mods

Progression Philosophy

The pack is tuned so progression cannot be rushed too quickly. Many powerful systems require earlier systems, exploration milestones, power infrastructure, or quest progression before they become available.

Examples include:

- Refined Storage builds from Tom’s Simple Storage progression
- High-tier storage disks require upgrading previous tiers
- Automation upgrades require later-game resources
- Teleportation is mostly based around discovered world waystones
- Skills provide long-term character growth instead of instant power spikes

Multiplayer Focus

This pack is primarily built for a small friend server, around 5-10 players, with server performance and long-term play in mind. It includes performance mods, tuned configs, Discord/Twitch integrations, voice chat support, and progression systems intended to keep the world active longer.

Recommended

Use the included configs and scripts. Some systems are intentionally customized through KubeJS, datapacks, and config files, so removing those may break progression balance.
