Modpack
Severence
No reviews yet
Severance is a hardcore long term survival modpack built around Create centric automation, meaningful progression gates, and resource scarcity where every tool, machine, and meal demands more than vanilla ever did. I have tried to standardize everything.
Centered around complex tech and/or magic where large-scale automation is necessary, often taking many hours to craft items and hundreds or thousands of hours to fully complete.
Focuses on automation and resource processing through scientific and mechanical means, utilizing systems like electricity (RF/FE/etc), air pressure, or rotation.
Includes quests that drive progression, whether through a quest book, NPC, or other in world source.
Designed to be difficult and challenging for experienced players, often with many hours of gameplay.
Neoforge is a fork of the Minecraft Forge available for versions 1.20.1+ of Minecraft. Many Forge mods are compatible with Neoforge and vice versa.

This is my first modpack ever so bare with me but i promise to do my best
Severance is a long-term hardcore survival experience built for players who want thousands of hours of meaningful, hard-earned progression. Not a pack you blast through in a weekend.
At its core, Severance is Create-centric. Create machinery is the backbone of automation, advanced crafting, and industrial progression. You won't be crafting raw iron into tools. You'll be rolling sheets, assembling mechanisms, and building real production lines before you see anything resembling mid-game gear.
Every recipe has been deliberately hardened. Vanilla tools require Create sheets. Diamond gear needs Breeze Rod handles. Storage blocks go through a mixer. Workstations cost more. Nothing is handed to you and everything feels earned.
Survival systems go deeper too. Thirst is live via Thirst Was Taken and water purity actually matters. Dirty water piped into your cooking basin means dirty soup. Alcohol gives you a short Strength buff but drains your thirst bar fast. Food isn't just hunger, it's resource management.
One of the biggest goals of this pack is full resource standardization. If three mods all add lead, salt, or any other duplicate material, one source wins and the rest are removed or redirected. No more juggling three different lead ingots that all do the same thing. Recipes, worldgen, and JEI are all cleaned up to reflect this. What you see is what exists.
The loot system has been heavily nerfed across the board. Chests won't carry you. Mob gear drops are rare. Diamonds and Netherite in loot tables are near-mythical. You will mine, craft, and earn everything.
This pack is still actively growing and I read every single comment. If you spot a mod I missed standardizing, a recipe that feels off, a duplicate item I haven't cleaned up yet, or anything that breaks the design philosophy, please leave a note. This is a living project and your feedback genuinely shapes it.
