About

Description

This pack is largely based on onixary's Shape Shifter Curse, with other mods added to improve your overall experience with the mod.

Here is what this pack offers:

  • Shape Shifter's Curse: You start with a book that, upon being opened, turns you into a shapeshifter. When under the night of a curse moon, you will start to turn into an animal. You can advance the transformation by waiting for another cursed moon, acting like the mob you are turning into (the instinct mechanic), or eating catalysts. Advancing the transformation comes with additional drawbacks and benefits. Alternatively, you craft an inhibitor to turn yourself back, or wait until stage 3 of the transformation for the next cursed moon to revert you to stage 1. Catalysts and inhibitors can be crafted from moon dust, which has a chance to drop from mobs under a cursed moon.

See official documentation for a full instruction guide: https://ssc-wiki.readthedocs.io/en/latest/mod_content/form_change_and_recovery/

  • Countered's Terrain Slabs: Fills the world with half slabs to make navigation easier for shapeshifters with decreased height.
  • Mob Control: Uses a custom config to disable common hostile spawns on the surface, making the atmosphere much more appreciable and wholesome. You will still see some enderman, witches, drowned, husks, and illagers, but no skeletons, zombies, creepers, and spiders unless you are in a cave. The idea to do this was inspired by this video by Stereotypical.
  • Nullscape: Makes The End more expansive to accommodate better movement abilities as an animal.
  • YUNG's Better Ocean Monuments: Overhauls ocean monuments for axolotl players.
  • Misc: AppleSkin, Controlling, Dis-Enchanting Table, Essential Mod, Enchantment Descriptions, First-Person Model, Friendly Phantoms, Jade, JEI and addons, Mod Menu, Nature's Compass & Explorer's Compass, Nemo's Inventory Sorting, No Chat Reports, Particle Rain, Simple Voice Chat, Skin Layers 3D, Sound Physics Remastered, Tree Harvester, Two Players One Horse, Villager Hats Mod, Waystones, Xaero's minimap & world map (customize as you like), and performence mods.
  • Shaders

Complementary Shaders Reimagined

Night Sky Shaders: An alternative to complementary shaders that is not as resource intensive. It's really just a resource pack that makes the night look better.

  • Surprise mods

    Lucky Blocks

Cave Dweller Fabric: Seeing as animal forms grant manoeuvrability at the cost of your ability to wear non-Morphscale armor (on most limbs), the potential for chase scenes and the dweller to be a genuine threat has never been greater. If you want to be an animal, you better be prepared to be hunted like one.

I hope you enjoy this mod pack. If there is anything you would like me to add that you think would improve your experience, please post a comment. I would love to hear it.
