Simple Colonies

An ultra-lightweight modpack for colonization and exploration. 

This modpack was created because even the most lightweight of modpacks contained hundreds of frankly useless mods that did nothing but lag games and bog down servers. This modpack contains less than 40 mods, allowing you to run this on basically any hardware that could run the original game. The general focus of the modpack is on ease of use and simplicity. Core vanilla gameplay is preserved while adding in tons of features on top of it. Probably the most complicated part of this mod is immersive railroads, but its usage is completely optional. This modpack is great for beginners who have never played modpacks before as it doesn't flood you with UI elements and new mechanics. 

Minecolonies allows you to start your own settlement, but beware of barbarian attacks!

Mileanare spawns beautiful villages that are teeming with life. Gone are the boring and dumb vanilla villagers. Now these villagers can build and maintain themselves. Help them out, and they might even give you a spot in the village!  

Biomes O' Plenty gives you plenty of new biomes to explore. 

Dungeon tactics is included for additional progression and gameplay opportunities. 

Various dungeon mods also add procedurally generated dungeons with exciting loot!

Ancient Warfare 2 provides additional challenge, and brings numerous factions to a once peaceful world. Create your army and defend your colony!

BetterNether overhauls the vanilla nether experience and provides a fresh experience compared to the relatively empty vanilla nether.

The Immersive Railroading mod allows you to connect your villages and colonies with life sized and realistic trains!

None of these mods are mine, I've just compiled them into this small modpack.
