Description
Simple Adventure
Routes. Ruins. Legends.
An exploration and combat modpack where the journey is the adventure.
A ruin beyond the hills. A coastline you have never followed. A boss you are not ready to faceโyet.
Simple Adventure expands Minecraft with new landscapes, discoveries and formidable encounters. Build a refuge, prepare your supplies, venture into the unknown, and come home with a story worth remembering.
Version 1.4 ยท Minecraft Java 1.21.1 ยท NeoForge ยท Java 21
A world worth exploring
- Venture farther. Explore expanded landscapes across the Overworld, Nether and End.
- Follow the unexpected. Discover villages, ruins, structures and places worth marking on your route.
- Prepare for the fight. Gather supplies and challenge powerful bosses on your own terms.
- Leave the shore behind. Travel by ship, take diving equipment and explore the depths.
- Make a place to return to. Organize your gear and build a home between expeditions.
There is no single route through Simple Adventure. Pursue difficult fights, explore carefully, or simply see where the next road leads.
1.4 โ A bigger chapter for Simple Adventure
A chronicle you can carry
Sanctuary Progress 0.1.0 Beta, the companion created specifically for this pack, introduces an independent Field Journal and Explorer's Guide.
The journal records 16 exploration and boss challenges automatically, with progress saved for the relevant player and world. Use completion filters and a page-corner tracking ribbon to choose your next objective. Completing a challenge can display a fantasy seal with sound; a quieter parchment style is also available, with configurable notice duration and sound.
The guide offers 24 chapters of travel advice alongside configurable field notes. Both books use manuscript-inspired pages, leather bindings and curved page turns. Their reading preferences are integrated directly into the books, including paper tones and control materials. English is the default, and Spanish is selected automatically when Minecraft uses a Spanish language setting.
A medieval interface with a choice of materials
Warm stone, parchment and aged brass give the pack a shared visual identity. Redesigned controls connect the title menu, pause screen, options and inventory resources.
Change the general colors and button materials through Video Settings โ Sanctuary Progress โ Pack theme. These choices are separate from the paper colors inside the books. The original warm-stone design remains available.
The presentation also includes:
- Fifteen rotating menu illustrations, with subtle particles and transitions.
- Original programmed menu music and custom interface sounds.
- Expedition notes during loading.
- Custom death-screen animations that retain native respawn and hardcore controls.
- Menu integration for the Replay Archive entry.
Seasons and living landscapes
Biomes O' Plenty, Terralith and Regions Unexplored form the Overworld exploration lineup, with expanded Nether and End environments elsewhere in the pack. BOP's distribution is configured to share the landscape with the other providers.
Serene Seasons adds changing foliage, seasonal weather and snow to the Overworld. The supplied configuration uses eight days per sub-season and twenty-four days per full season. Out-of-season crops grow more slowly rather than being destroyed.
Ambient soundscapes, footsteps and equipment-based dynamic lighting give expeditions more atmosphere. Water wakes add motion at the surface while the original Minecraft water textures remain intact. Zoom helps you inspect distant landmarks.
Current rendering, optional shaders
The profile pairs Sodium 0.8.13 with Iris 1.8.14 Beta 1 for Minecraft 1.21.1 NeoForge. This replaces the earlier mismatched renderer combination. Keep the supplied pair together rather than updating one half independently.
Shaderpacks are optional. The pack also includes optimization components such as Lithium, FerriteCore, ModernFix, C2ME and ImmediatelyFast. Performance depends on hardware, settings and world complexity; no specific frame rate is promised.
Getting started
Requirements: Minecraft Java Edition 1.21.1, NeoForge 21.1.264, Java 21, and a launcher compatible with NeoForge modpacks.
- Download the complete Simple Adventure release.
- Import it into your compatible launcher.
- Keep the included configurations, resource packs and companion mod together.
- Launch Minecraft and choose your next expedition.
Sanctuary Progress is in its first public beta. Simple Adventure continues to evolve, so report reproducible issues with the modpack version and relevant logs. Back up existing worlds before updating; generation changes affect new terrain and worlds containing content removed from a previous profile may require additional care.

Credits and licensing
Simple Adventure supplies the pack configuration, Sanctuary_UI integration, custom menu/loading/death presentation, programmed menu music and the Sanctuary Progress 0.1.0 Beta companion.
The fifteen menu illustrations were generated with AI for this pack. They are decorative menu artwork, not gameplay screenshots or locations guaranteed to generate in a world.
All third-party mods, resource packs, shaderpacks and data packs remain the work of their creators and retain their licenses. The soft-click sound incorporates material from the Anidoodle physical SFX kit. Minecraft's native page-turn sounds and base-game assets remain the property of Mojang/Microsoft.
Sanctuary Progress declares MIT for its own code. This does not relicense Minecraft or third-party content.
The next adventure begins beyond the familiar.
