Description

Check the quest book in the upper lefthand corner of the screen when you open your inventory!

This is a modpack I created to focus on horror and terror. Most horror modpacks I see on CurseForge focus on horror but not as much on the terror, so I decided to take matters into my own hands and make one myself. This modpack features dimensional travel, looting structures around the world(s), and most importantly: scaring the heck out of the player. I tried very hard to make the player afraid of as many things as possible as well as setting a final goal of defeating 16 unique bosses to complete the modpack.

Tip for new players: Top priorities for new players should be light, shelter, and a bed.

Optifine is highly recommended (turn off Fast Render and turn on Dynamic Lighting) but if you don't like Optifine, install the Dynamic Lights mod instead (or install neither for hard mode).

Keep the brightness on Moody for the best experience.

If you have any suggestions for config changes (but most likely no new mods) to make this modpack even scarier, please leave suggestions in the comment section. I will be pretty active on it throughout October, but less so otherwise.

Thank you to AsianHalfSquat and Rebirth of the Night for the inspiration for the modlist I built everything else off of.

  • Nether Fortress
Nether Fortress The Nether is a very dark place, but there are plenty of light sources to be found.
  • Midnight Portal
Midnight Portal Portals to the Midnight dimension will spawn in the Overworld at night.
  • Dimensional Door
Dimensional Door Dimensional Doors can give good loot, but they can also be terrifying.

  • Quest for Light
Quest for Light One of the quest windows. This one is the quest tree for light sources due to how limited they are.
