Description

Smooth Matcha

Smooth Matcha is a lightweight optimisation modpack that lets you jump straight into the Matcha Flavored datapack with improved performance and no setup required!

Features:

  • Ready to play: just create or join a world.
  • Performance-focused mods for smoother gameplay.
  • Pre-configured for the Matcha Flavored datapack.
  • Lightweight and vanilla-friendly.

Matcha Flavoured (by Klei)

If you've never played Matcha Flavoured before, think of it as a complete overhaul of Minecraft's survival progression. Rather than encouraging automated farms, technical optimization, or rushing to the endgame, it rewards exploration, cooking, combat, and natural resource gathering. The goal is for players to progress at a relaxed pace without ever feeling forced to build massive farms or exploit game mechanics.

Highlights include:

  • Around 50 new foods, with 12 ingredients that provide unique intrinsic potion effects.
  • A redesigned progression with 4 new alloys and a new equipment path.
  • Hunger and natural regeneration removed, replaced by a deeper food and survival system. Health now works similar to how it did in beta.
  • Villager trading, enchanting, and vanilla equipment completely reworked.
  • New enchantments, special treasures, hidden mechanics, and plenty of secrets to discover.
  • Death is less punishing, encouraging exploration instead of discouraging it.
  • Some late game items like Shulker Boxes are now available much earlier.

Matcha Flavoured remains the core experience. The additions in this pack focus on performance optimizations and quality-of-life features that enhance the experience without changing the datapack's intended progression or design.
