About

Description

What is SodiumX?

SodiumX is a lightweight performance pack designed to only include what you actually need and not a variety of mods that can't even be used outside of single player or on very specific servers like other packs in the category often do. This pack gives you the baseline and if you feel so inclined you can use Modrinth's unlink pack feature or simply drag mods into your mods folder to add those specific mods to your preferred perference.

Mods

Cubes Without Borders: Adds a true borderless fullscreen window mode to the video settings menu. It allows you to seamlessly move your mouse to a second monitor or open other applications on top of Minecraft without the game minimizing

Entity Culling: Skips rendering blocks and entities when they are hidden behind walls or outside your field of view.

Ferrite Core: Drastically reduces Minecraft's RAM usage by streamlining how block states and properties are stored in memory

Immediately Fast: An optimization mod that speeds up the rendering of 2D/3D screen elements like menus, text, the HUD, particles, and map items.

Iris Shaders: Enables custom graphics packages to completely overhaul Minecraft's visuals. It allows the game to render realistic lighting, dynamic shadows, lifelike water reflections

Lithium: Improves game physics, mob AI, chunk loading, and world generation speed. It optimizes the game's internal logic and math calculations to significantly reduce CPU load and server lag

Sodium: A complete replacement for Minecraft's rendering engine that drastically improves frame rates, eliminates micro-stutters, and fixes graphical glitches

Sodium Extra: An essential addon that expands the video settings menu with advanced toggles for animations, particles, and fine details

ModernFix: Fixes memory leaks, speeds up game launching, and fixes various engine bugs. It modernizes the game's underlying systems to reduce RAM spikes, improve stability, and cut down loading times

Particle Core: Revamps how game particles are processed and loaded
