This modpack includes mods that make the game more tech oriented such as advanced rocketry and Just stargate mod allowing for space exploration and later on faster travel between planets moons and even solar systems 

 applied energetics adds a new form of storage allowing you to store thousands of items in one place and makes the game feel more futuristic

tech guns also adds a lot to progression as it adds more difficulty as you progress such as adding harder enemies as you get better weapons and making the nether more dangerous 

extreme reactors adds an advanced form of making late game power as you can make massive nuclear reactors with turbines that produce a ton of energy

tinkers construct adds advanced forging and advanced tools that can be used better than the base tools

immersive engineering adds a new way to produce and automate advanced items for defense and energy
