Strangelands is a movecraft server that contains airships and floating islands in a skyblock-esque fashion where you must build the infrastructure necessary to power your war machine. This modpack provides a better user experience by using optimization mods to offset the various performance issues caused by movecraft and combat.

This modpack is for the Strangelands Servers, but can also be used in other movecraft servers. It is designed with optimization in mind with a few other useful mods essential to gameplay mixed in.

Performance

This modpack is based on the Simply Optimized modpack utilizing its configuration and its list of mods for the best performance possible. This ensures that even lower-end computers can enjoy the strategic and often lag-intensive combat in movecraft servers.

Maps and Strategy

The usage of a minimap has unparalleled utility in a movecraft server in almost every case. You can use VoxelMap's highlight and coordinate sharing features to coordinate assaults on the enemy base as well as use the waypoints to navigate yourself around the world. The minimap can also be used for situational awareness to gauge your surroundings as well as any approaching crafts.

Other Notes:

Here are a few things you must be aware of while using this modpack.

1. Graphics settings are set to the Fabulous! setting because you cannot currently see particles outside of stained glass. The optimization of the other mods should be able to counteract the client-side lag caused by this setting.
2. ViaFabricPlus allows you to experience movecraft servers without the fuss created by the clash between server and client-side version differences. Many movecraft servers function better under older versions, and this feature allows you to play them without opting for older and outdated versions of mods. To switch versions you like to client to simulate, click on the ViaFabricPlus button on the top right of the multiplayer server selection screen.
