About

Description

its a 216-mod Fabric 1.20.1 modpack built around exploration, travel and a hand-crafted progression system. It keeps vanilla's feel and pacing, but gives you a far larger world to explore, a real reason to leave your base, and a guided path through every mod in the pack.

A custom questbook with 378 quests

This is the core of the pack. Instead of dropping you into 216 mods with no direction, ships a hand-written FTB Questbook containing 378 quests across 16 chapters — one chapter per major mod, plus a 112-quest Vanilla chapter split into eleven separate trees (Survival, Mining, Farming, Nether, End, Villages, Raids, Hunting, Ocean, Bosses, Exploration).

Every quest has a detailed description that explains how the item or machine actually works and why you'll need it next — where to mine at which Y level, which enchantments matter, how a multi-block ritual is assembled, which boss drops what. Chapters are independent, so you can complete any quest the moment you own the item; within a chapter, the dependency tree keeps the order sensible.

Rewards are balanced to nudge you forward, never to skip content: torches and coal early, steel and sails mid-game, End Crystals and Dragon's Breath after the Ender Dragon. Every quest also grants 2 XP levels, milestones 5.

A world worth crossing

Terralith, Biomes O' Plenty, BetterEnd and BetterNether together replace almost every biome in all three dimensions. The Nether gets cincinnasite ore, a working forge, ruby deposits and its own farmland. The End stops being an empty rock and becomes a full progression tier with three metals of its own. Deeper and Darker adds the Otherside, an entire parallel dimension below the Deep Dark, with its own trees, ore and armour set. Aquamirae adds a frozen ocean region with its own boss.

Structures in every direction

Ten YUNG's overhauls (strongholds, mineshafts, desert temples, ocean monuments, dungeons, witch huts, Nether fortresses, the End island, bridges), plus ChoiceTheorem's Overhauled Villages, Towns & Towers, When Dungeons Arise and its Seven Seas expansion, Structory, Structory: Towers, Moog's Voyager Structures, Explorify and Medieval Buildings. Combined with Lootr, every chest is per-player — three friends can loot the same temple and each gets their own diamonds, with nobody racing to the chest first.

Combat that isn't just left-click

Better Combat replaces the swing with directional, weapon-specific attack animations. Epic Knights adds fifteen historical armour sets (chainmail, brigandine, gothic plate, Maximilian), five shield types and dozens of weapons with real reach differences — a pike hits two blocks away, a claymore hits hardest but slowest. Simply Swords, Soulslike Weaponry, MC Dungeons Weapons, Immersive Armors and Armor of the Ages widen the arsenal further. Advanced Netherite extends netherite with four more tiers (iron, gold, emerald, diamond), each with different durability and enchantability.

Bosses with actual mechanics

Saint's Dragons adds eight dragon species with taming, breeding, scale-harvesting from living dragons, rideable flight and three armour tiers ending in the Dragonlord set. Bosses of Mass Destruction, Souls Like Bosses and Dark Bosses add further encounters that need preparation rather than gear-checking.

Five ways to travel

Waystones for instant teleport networks, Small Ships for cogs, galleys, drakkars and cannon-armed briggs, Immersive Aircraft for biplanes, airships and quadrocopters assembled from parts, Valkyrien Skies + Eureka to build a ship out of any blocks you like and fly it, and Mythic Mounts and Paraglider for everything in between.

Building and decoration

The complete Macaw's suite (roofs, bridges, doors, windows, fences, furniture, lights, paths, stairs, trapdoors, paintings), Supplementaries and Supplementaries Squared, Dawn Of Time, Another Furniture, Refurbished Furniture, Decorative Blocks, Connected Glass, Fusion and Simply Light.

Cooking, storage and quality of life

Farmer's Delight turns food into a system: cutting boards double your meat yield, cooking pots make stews that grant real buffs before a boss fight. Backpacked gives you a back-slot backpack, Iron Chests seven storage tiers up to 108 slots with in-place upgrade kits, plus Storage Drawers. JourneyMap, JEI, Jade, Nature's Compass, Clumps, Enchantment Descriptions, Polymorph, Mouse Tweaks, Zoomify and You're in Grave Danger remove the usual friction.

Built to run

Sodium, Lithium, FerriteCore, ModernFix, Starlight, C2ME (multi-threaded chunk generation), Krypton, EntityCulling, ImmediatelyFast and Chunky are all pre-installed and configured. Iris is included for shader support. Despite 216 mods, the pack runs at high framerates on mid-range hardware.
