⚔️ SUNDERED REALMS
356 mods. 27 dimensions. 310 bosses. One quest book that actually tells you what's going on.
---
🗺️ The pitch
You've installed the 400-mod pack before. You spawned in, opened your inventory,
saw eleven thousand items, alt-tabbed to a wiki, and never played again.
Sundered Realms is that pack with the missing manual built in. 2,900 quests
across 49 chapters, seven acts from your first panicked night to the Cataclysm,
and every single chapter written to explain what the mod is before it asks you
to do anything with it.
Not "Craft 1 Bestiary." More like: the Bestiary is where Ice and Fire hides all
its documentation; pages unlock as you meet things, so build it before you meet
something.
---
📖 What makes the quest book different
🔧 49 hand-written mod lines. Ice and Fire, Cataclysm, Iron's Spellbooks, Ars
Nouveau, Create, Mekanism, Tinkers', Blood Magic, Botania and forty more. Written
by a human who read the mod, in the order you should actually do it.
🧭 It tells you where to go. Structure quests are generated from each mod's own
worldgen data, so they name the biome and roughly how far apart to expect things.
Relic Era quests quote the mod's own drop conditions — Ephemeral Blooms only
appear when a Sniffer digs them up on a new moon, and now you know that without
opening a browser.
🐉 Loot that matches the fight. Boss chapters run weakest to strongest and the
reward tier slides with them. Turns out the Amphithere had been quietly paying
out a 30-damage dragonsteel axe because it sorted first alphabetically. It has
been spoken to. Only dragons pay dragon money now.
✅ Every ID verified. Items, entities, structures and dimensions are all checked
against what the game actually loads. No purple-and-black mystery squares. No
quests demanding an item that three versions ago stopped existing.

⚙️ Tuned, not just zipped
Anyone can put 356 mods in a folder. Making them behave took longer than picking
them.
🏗️ Structure density. Sixty-odd structure mods stacked means a structure every
1.4 chunks and chunk loading that feels like dial-up. Ambient clutter — roadside
lanterns, campsites, dead trees, the fourteenth tiny grave — is thinned by ~90%.
Boss arenas, dungeons, towers and quest landmarks are untouched at full density.
Net: 73% less generation work, all the landmarks intact.
🎲 Mob variety that's actually varied. Modded spawns are levelled to a flat
weight, so no single mob can own a night. 29 species and none of them above 3.4%
of the roll. No more "ah yes, the sky slime biome."
🧱 Mobs siege you. Politely. Hostiles break and place blocks — but 90 block
types are protected. Your machines, storage, bookshelves and bricks will still be
there in the morning. Your dirt hut will not.
🛒 Four-tier shop. Selling, gear, materials, and a black market for the stuff
you shouldn't be able to afford yet. Three currencies.

🧠 Honest expectations
Look — this is a big pack and we're not going to pretend otherwise.
💾 Give it 16 GB. Not 8. Not "8 is probably fine." At 12 GB the garbage
collector stalls every worldgen thread at once and you'll swear the world
is broken. It isn't. It's hungry.
⏳ First flight into new terrain will make you wait. 956 structures have to
come from somewhere. It's much better than it was, but physics is physics.
☠️ It's not a gentle pack. Mobs break blocks, scale with difficulty, and
there are 310 things that want a word with you. The quest book will help. It
will not save you.
🐛 356 mods means occasional weirdness. If something looks wrong, it
probably is, and we'd rather hear about it than have you quietly uninstall.

👥 Playing with friends
Built and tested in co-op the whole way through, which is how most of the sharp
edges got found.
One setting almost everyone misses — if you're hosting, add this:
```
-Dforge.readTimeout=180
```
Default is 30 seconds. A pack this size takes longer than that to send the first
chunks, and without it your friend gets booted mid-join and you both spend an
hour blaming the wrong thing. Ask me how I know. 🙃
