Tales of Mithril

 Tales of Mithril is a modpack for the upcoming RPG experience in the modded Minecraft universe. In Tales of Mithril you harness the powers of magic and swordsmanship as you explore the world of Mithril, completing quests and take on custom NPC factions and monsters. 

 On the surface Tales of Mithril offers players the chance to run around a beautifully designed world, making use of various fantasy and magic-type mods to defeat enemies and complete quests. But deep down, there is much more than that. ToM also offers a fully integrated item-based economy that utilises the laws of Equivalent Exchange to allow a balanced and steady economy. The official Tales of Mithril server also make use of Factions, and other plugins to create a nice camaraderie for players on the server and allow players to purchase land in the world.

The modpack itself includes a number of prominent mods including Ars Magica 2, Equivalent Exchange 3, Blood Magic, Twilight Forest, Aether II, Custom NPCs, Witchery & Tinkers’ Construct.

 New players to Tales of Mithril should not feel discouraged by the amount of content offered in this pack. Each quest has been hand-crafted to provide users with enough guided experience to understand the game’s mechanics while still allowing players to play at their own pace, regardless of their skill level. Each questline attempts to introduce new mods gradually to the player, also incorporating balance as a key component to the success of the Tales of Mithril server.

 This modpack is designed specifically for the official Tales of Mithril server, and while the pack is playable in SSP it will not have the server-side changes, plugins and gameplay elements required to enjoy this pack to its fullest.

Development update: April 6th 2016 

Development of Tales of Mithril is an ongoing process. We have an established build team that is working around the clock to get the cities built and the server ready for play testing. There is plenty of work to be done before we are ready to open the server for public access, but I encourage players to come and check out the world's development over on my Twitch channel as things progess.
