TCM: Rehatched is a handcrafted adventure focused on exploration, progression, immersion, and meaningful mod interaction—blending combat, magic, technology, companions, building, and discovery into a world that feels alive and worth exploring.
Focuses on automation and resource processing through scientific and mechanical means, utilizing systems like electricity (RF/FE/etc), air pressure, or rotation.
Centers around fantasy elements such as spells, rituals, and magical energies, often involving personal empowerment and magical automation.
Neoforge is a fork of the Minecraft Forge available for versions 1.20.1+ of Minecraft. Many Forge mods are compatible with Neoforge and vice versa.

Description
The Chicken Modpack: Rehatched
TCM: Rehatched is a handcrafted Minecraft adventure built around exploration, progression, immersion, and making a heavily modded world feel like one cohesive experience.
Rather than simply throwing together as many mods as possible, Rehatched is designed around a simple idea:
Every major system should feel like it belongs in the same world.
Explore enormous landscapes, delve into dangerous structures, build a home worth returning to, develop your character, recruit companions, experiment with magic and technology, wield everything from medieval weapons to modern firearms, and discover systems that continue unfolding long after your first night.
A World Worth Exploring
Rehatched is built for players who enjoy wandering off the path and finding something unexpected.
The world is filled with reasons to leave your base:
Dungeons and dangerous structures
- New creatures and encounters
- Expanded villages and NPC interactions
- Hidden loot and progression opportunities
- New biomes and environments
- Equipment and resources worth searching for
- Places that encourage preparation before charging inside
Exploration is intended to feel rewarding rather than simply being scenery between waypoints.
You should regularly find yourself saying:
"I was supposed to be doing something else, but what is THAT?"
Build Your Own Playstyle
There is no single correct way to play Rehatched.
You might become an explorer armed with a rifle and a backpack full of supplies.
You might focus on magic.
You might become heavily invested in technology and advanced storage.
You might build towns, recruit companions, interact with villagers, collect equipment, hunt monsters, explore dungeons, or spend several hours making your house look suspiciously better than necessary.
Character progression and equipment systems are intended to reward specialization without forcing everyone down exactly the same path.
Combat With Variety
Combat ranges from traditional Minecraft encounters to much more dangerous modded enemies and environments.
Depending on how you choose to play, your arsenal can include:
- Traditional melee weapons
- Expanded equipment and gear
- Bows and ranged weapons
- Magic
- Modern firearms through TACZ
- Specialized equipment from other progression systems
The goal isn't simply to make enemies have bigger health bars.
Combat should encourage you to improve your equipment, understand your tools, prepare for difficult encounters, and occasionally realize that opening that dungeon door was a terrible idea.
A More Living World
One of the major goals of Rehatched is to make the world feel inhabited rather than having the player exist as the only person capable of doing anything interesting.
Village and companion systems such as Minecraft Comes Alive Reborn and Modern Companions give you people to interact with, recruit, protect, travel with, and build around.
This is also an area where Rehatched will continue receiving custom compatibility work.
Systems that normally exist completely separately should increasingly be able to interact.
If villagers can fight, companions can travel with you, and TACZ adds firearms...
then eventually, those villagers should probably understand what a firearm is.
That philosophy is already leading to custom compatibility projects developed alongside the pack.
Magic, Technology, and Everything Between
Rehatched doesn't require you to choose between fantasy and technology.
Both belong here.
Players who enjoy magical progression have systems to explore, while players who prefer machines, automation, storage, and technical progression can pursue those instead.
And if your preferred character is a spellcasting adventurer carrying an assault rifle next to a heavily automated base...
We're not going to stop you.
The goal is variety without making every system feel completely disconnected from everything around it.
Building Matters
Adventuring is only half the story.
Rehatched includes expanded decorative and building options, so the places you create can actually look like places people would live.
Furniture, lighting, decorative blocks, storage solutions, expanded construction options, and other building-focused additions give builders plenty to work with.
Whether you're making a tiny woodland cottage, a sprawling settlement, a fortified compound, or something that consumes an irresponsible number of chunks, the pack is meant to support it.
Progression Without Losing Minecraft
Rehatched adds extensive progression and RPG-style mechanics, but the intention is not to completely replace Minecraft with a menu simulator.
Mining, building, exploring, crafting, farming, fighting, and discovering new places should still form the heart of the experience.
Progression systems exist to give those activities more meaning and provide long-term goals—not to make you complete seventeen spreadsheets before you're allowed to use an iron pickaxe.
Many mod settings and configurations are intentionally adjusted to reduce overlapping mechanics and unnecessary frustration.
When multiple mods provide the same feature, the better implementation is generally chosen rather than leaving three competing versions enabled.
Curated, Configured, and Constantly Refined
Rehatched isn't meant to be a default-config kitchen sink pack.
Mods are tested together, and their settings are adjusted when necessary to make the overall experience more consistent.
That includes work involving:
- Performance optimization
- Spawn behavior
- Progression balance
- Removing duplicate mechanics
- Mod compatibility
- UI customization
- Visual consistency
- Config adjustments
- Bug fixing and crash prevention
- Custom compatibility additions
The pack is expected to continue evolving as new interactions, balancing issues, and opportunities are discovered.
Performance Matters
Large modpacks can become brutally demanding, especially once world generation, entities, shaders, distant rendering, automation, and hundreds of modded systems begin running simultaneously.
Rehatched is actively tested and profiled with performance in mind.
The goal isn't to turn a massive modpack into vanilla Minecraft on a toaster, but unnecessary performance loss isn't considered an acceptable feature either.
Configurations and mod choices may change over time when better performance can be achieved without sacrificing the experience.
More Than a Mod List
Rehatched also has its own presentation and identity.
Custom branding, menu visuals, interface elements, music ideas, and other presentation work are being developed, so launching the pack feels like launching TCM: Rehatched, rather than simply opening another Minecraft instance with a long mod list.
That same philosophy applies inside the game:
The more these mods can feel like pieces of one experience instead of isolated additions, the better.
Who Is Rehatched For?
You'll probably enjoy TCM: Rehatched if you like:
- Long-term survival worlds
- Exploration
- Dungeons
- RPG progression
- Companions and NPCs
- Building
- Magic
- Technology
- Firearms and expanded combat
- Collecting equipment
- Mod interaction
- Having far too many projects happening simultaneously
- Starting with "I'll just improve my house" and somehow ending up operating an armed settlement
Rehatched is designed to give you options rather than tell you exactly which kind of Minecraft player you're supposed to be.
The Goal
At its core, TCM: Rehatched is about making Minecraft feel larger, deeper, and more alive without losing the freedom that makes Minecraft enjoyable in the first place.
Explore.
Build.
Fight.
Progress.
Experiment.
Recruit some friends.
Accidentally discover another mod mechanic at 2:00 AM.
And make the world your own.
Welcome to TCM: Rehatched.
