About
Description
Whenever you look at modpacks, they usually have end goal. Build some sort of great item, complete quests, and that is it. Well this modpack tries to change that. You start out it hardcore survival using TerraFirmaCraft.
You have to plan ahead for the coming winter. Grow slow and hard growing crops. Store food. Only then you can think about advancing and creating technology. Eventually with technology you can create helicopters, train stations to transport the ores from the quarry, guns, and finally rockets. There is a few end game items that are very powerful ICBM rockets that will wipe very large chunks of the world. That will be used to destroy your enemy bases with or get destroyed yourself. And the cycle continues, rebuild, go to war, destroy each other, repeat.
Build large deep underground bases, large underground train tracts, create turrets to guard your area, special ICBM radars to detect incoming missiles.
The survival part is made even harder by TFC ambient mod. It makes so you have to keep your body temperature right and make sure you don't over heat or get too cool.
Mega torches can be used to prevent mobs from spawning in big areas.
The quests are more as a guide, there is much more that its not mentioned in them that is left for the player to find out.
The game can be played for single or multiplayer however ideally its for multiplayer role play, as there is a voice mod that should allow you to talk with other players directly in the game, there is also helicopters, sniper rifles and ICBMs specifically made to destroy other player bases, raid them.
For multiplayer my recommendation is to disable mod spawning on the surface, but its really up to you. This can be done in config folder, inside the TerraFirmaCraft-General.cfg, and then find the part named preventMobsOnSurface and setting it to true.
For the voice mod to work in multiplayer, there might be certain extra work that would need to be done https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/glibys-voice-chat-reloaded
What is missing and i was not able to figure out solution would be for some sort of cart that would automatically place support beams for when tunnel bore or other machine mines out a tunnel. Perhaps someone who would like the modpack could develop it. Feedback is appreciated. I could make a server pack if someone would really need it.
If you use Steve carts mod miner cart, it doesn't break blocks just makes them disappear and that prevents cave ins.
Please make sure you use the latest version of the pack as lower version had some progression stopping problems.
