Description
This modpack is a fork of TerraFirmaGreg-Modern. This was made for my server I play on with my friends. If you're not one, I'd recommend play the original modpack made by made by Xikaro and Exzept1on instead.
TerraFirmaGreg-Modern seamlessly fuses together TerraFirmaCraft and GregTech to create a unique, immersive progression where early survival mechanics meet advanced industrial engineering, pushing you from hand-built beginnings through complex automation, metallurgy, and large-scale tech chains—without ever losing the grounded, craft-driven feel.
My fork will update as original modpack updates. I tried to utilize existed game items/mechaincs more, so they're not useless or less useless at least.
Differences from original pack
Map and Navigation
Xaero's Worldmap, Minimap and FTB Chunks was replaced with Map Atlases to use existed in-game maps.
Coordinates was disabled which forces to use maps or map atlas to navigate. You can use banners and rename them to create named marks on map.
In-game information display
Jade information now displays only when player hold in hands Magnifying Glass made of Spyglass. Magnifying Glass inherits Spyglass mechanics and enables Jade information. That makes spyglass more usefull.
Better ziplines
Ziplines: Rezipped present in this modpack to replace Species hook and rope with physically based ziplines created with lead and chains. You can't get up from lower ground and your speed affected by the angle. Also it comes with great decoration ability :)
Planned features
Darkness
Pitch black setting already set as default parameter, so you need to light up your roads, bases, factories and so on. Caves now very dark and its hard to navigate through but in future there would be flashlights that comes with ability to light territory in front, so you can see what's on the other side of cave.
QoL and Decorations
Over time I want to add some QoL features to make gameplay more enjoyable. Also I'll add some decoration mods to give players the ability to build beautiful places.
Animations and Immersion
Game looks great, but I want to add a bit of immersion and refresh the game. I plan to add a few animation and sound mods and resource packs to make player and ambient more alive.
Weather
I think it would be cool to have great and immersive weather, but It's not guaranteed to be in modpack
