About

Description

This started out as a creation by joint request of 2 friends of mine, Connor @ twitch.tv/connordotpng and Nova @ twitch.tv/Nov4cus . Per request I've tried to keep the modpack lightweight, without many of the larger and more involved tech and storage mods, and mostly improve certain specific aspects of the game, like exploring, dungeon crawling, base building, farming, and more.

Features:

Here are some of the largest general changes and things you will notice right away:

  • New biomes and seasons for those biomes, will change how crops grow depending on the season
  • New and Large structures will generate all over this world, stay away from some if you don't have the gear
  • A convenient way to return to previously discovered locations with waystones
  • New farming and cooking options, greatly increasing options for food
  • New bauble system, allowing added effects to the player without taking inventory or armor slots
  • Dimension portals have changed, this one will be pretty obvious when you visit them
  • A mini-map for convenience
  • Changes to cave and ore generation, making mining more interesting
  • New passive and aggressive mobs
  • New sounds, added to increase the immersive experience

Massively Improved exploration:
There are not added ways to improve exploring and moving around, so grab a horse or elytra and start looking. Many things may be hard to find and there are no easy ways of finding them, but if you do happen to find a dungeon, be wary. Some are easy to fell by yourself, although others can be rather challenging. Don't worry about bringing your friends exploring though, loot if per person, so everyone has a chance to loot a chest and still get the loot.

Base building:
I wouldn't rush into exploring just yet however, you probably need a strong place to return to and a lot of food to keep you going. This pack adds a lot of extra food options to fuel those long trips searching for dungeons and loot. There is also a way stone system, allowing easy transport back to your base once you've finished your journey. And don't forget, with all the additional furniture and building options, you don't have to live in a stone cave in the side of a mountain forever. Maybe once you've explored enough and gathered resources and influence, its time to become the leader of your own village, but that seems like a lot of work.

Install:

The easiest way to install this pack will be to use the curseforge launcher. After linking your minecraft game, search under browse modpacks, and look for The Cozy Club, install and play. Easy as that.

Manual Install (Not Recommended):

Forge: The latest version of Forge 1.16.5 should be fine, but if there are any issues, the confirmed version that works with everything in the modpack is forge- 1.16.5-35.0.46-universal.jar

Mods: (For manual install using the server pack only, which can also be used for client as well) Make sure there is nothing in your Mods or Config folders, then copy the folders over from this modpack into your Minecraft directory.

Parameters: I would recommend  3 or 4 GB or RAM for this modpack. It should be able to run on less, but there might be some chugging on larger dungeon generation. You can increase the amount of RAM by going to Launch Options, enabling JVM arguments, and changing "-Xmx1G" to "Xmx4G", the second "Xms" value, should remain unchanged.

Future Features:

The real hole in this modpack that I would like to improve is the tools and weapons situation. This is a forge modpack, and most of the really good tool and weapon mods for 1.16.5 are fabric mods, but as mods are created or become available for forge, I would be happy to add them to the pack, giving players many new ways to kill the new mobs and clear dungeons
