The Official Modpack Of The Epsilon SMP
A curated collection of Vanilla-Like mods that make for an enhanced and more immersive experience.
Hello World!
Thanks for taking a look at the pack, this is a message written by the author of the pack, Green! This is a huge passion project of mine and I simply couldn't express how excited I am to be ready to share it with you. I really wanted to take a more personal approach with the description of the pack so I'm just going to say some words on the vision for it here :)
Since I first found minecraft before it had releases on console or anyone had heard the words "Bedrock Edition" or "Sniffer" I had a dream of making a modpack, playing it with friends, and sharing that experience with the world on YouTube. So that's what I'm doing with this project. I was heavily inspired by the series MIANITE but the modpack doesn't really reflect that as far as content goes (or lore for that matter), though I'm hoping the series can tap into that social energy I fell in love with. It's really meant to reflect what I would want to see out of the base game by taking the best parts of what the community has made and creating a curated experience out of it that fills the gaps with the vanilla game. I've been testing it with friends and to pat myself on the back a bit here, I've done such a good job of that I don't think any of us will really be playing vanilla minecraft again any time soon haha... I don't love the direction many recent updates have gone in so don't expect updates to bring it to more recent versions, I'm sticking with 1.19.2 for the foreseeable future. I'm using QUILT for the pack because I like the values that the community holds and the direction they're taking with development even if it's a bit slower as of right now.
With all that being said if you want further details on exactly what the pack adds, feel free to check the content tab on modrinth after downloading it, or check out the SMP featuring the pack on my Youtube Channel, But Honestly I recommend going in blind and not overthinking it. Like we used to with minecraft.
This wouldn't be possible without my supporters and influences for this project so I would like to show grattitude and thank you all:
You: If you're reading this, you're the reason I'm doing this. Whoever you are, whatever your takeaway, you are the reason this matters. I want to share this experience with you and I hope it brings you as much joy as it does to me. Thank you.
The Mod Makers: Thank you to every single developer that made a mod that was included in this pack, this project is literally nothing without you and while I put a hell of a lot of work into making this pack myself you're all the ones doing the real heavy lifting.
Stefan: To those who don't know, Stefan is the creator of what has to be the greatest minecraft resource pack on the face of the planet, BetterVanillaBuilding. A major Inspiration for this project and a cornerstone of it. One of the only resource packs that could have fit in here and a crucial component of delivering the atmosphere I was going for. My goal with this modpack was basically to make a modpack that felt as "Vanilla but Better" as Stefan's resourcepack does. Thank you Stefan.
AsianHalfSquat: Thank you for curating the mod list videos that you do on youtube in as much detail as you do. You are the best resource out there for modpack makers and players alike looking for mods they can add to Minecraft to get closer to the experience they are looking for. Most of the mods I've added here I found featured in your videos.
Ari King: Thank you for making the mod WAKANAKIN on a whim and putting so much time and effort into a goofy idea. It's the little things like this that leave that extra personal flair on the pack. And for supporting me through the creation of the pack as much as you have.
CRIMSON: Thank you for being a constant pain in my side and always finding new ways to crash my modpack... Every crash you encountered was one we won't have to while live, and a player won't have to wait for a patch on before they can continue playing. I genuinely appreciate you for this so much... You too ALTO. Pumpkins. IYKYK
And To Every Other Epsilon Member: Thank you all for supporting me and joining me in this experience I'm trying to create. It truly means the world to me and just because your name isn't in here explicitly doesn't mean you weren't a huge part of making this possible. I appreciate each and every one of you more than I can express.
