Lore

The Lands of Nevaria was once a paradise, a world where the flow of magic was the true essence of life. This power originated from the World Trees, towering, breathtaking behemoths whose roots delved into the heart of the world and acted as a channel between the divine gods and the physical world. Nevaria was home to an ancient civilisation known as Nevarians who lived in harmony with nature and harnessed this magic to wield as a tool for everyday life. They were the gardeners and caretakers of the trees, and through their ritualistic care of the World Trees as well as offerings they showed their deepest devotion to the gods.

No one knows the true cause, but all that remains is the profound, terrifying silence that followed. In a single, cataclysmic event known only as The Great Reckoning, the delicate balance was shattered and monsters started appearing across the lands. When the light finally returned, the Nevarians had vanished.
Now, Nevaria is a land of ghosts and echoes. The cities of the lost civilization lie as beautiful, hollow ruins, memories of the past. The Nevarians' ancient knowledge about harnessing and using magic is scattered across the land and seas, a forgotten power.
