The Living Vale

The Living Vale is a lightweight Minecraft 1.20.1 Forge modpack designed to make the world feel more alive.

Rather than filling the game with hundreds of unrelated mods, the pack focuses on a smaller collection that works together to create a cozy world filled with animals, changing seasons, farming, exploration, beautiful landscapes, building possibilities, and just enough technology to give you something to work toward.

At the heart of the pack is Animania Reborn, bringing more life and personality to the animals around you. Combined with mods such as Dynamic Trees, Serene Seasons, Farmer's Delight, Natural Decor, TreeChop, Thermal, and more, the world gradually feels less like a collection of blocks and more like somewhere you could actually settle down.

Build a little farm beside a lake. Explore for the perfect place to call home. Watch the seasons change around your base. Raise animals, cook, gather resources, experiment with technology, or disappear into the forest and build something unnecessarily pretty.

The Living Vale was deliberately kept smaller than many modern modpacks.

Instead of adding mods simply to increase the mod count, each addition is intended to serve a purpose and fit the pack's overall atmosphere. The goal is a smoother experience that still gives you plenty to discover and build with.

It works well for relaxed single-player worlds, but it was also designed with small multiplayer servers in mind.
