The OFFICIAL modpack of the Nørdhole community
Centered around complex tech and/or magic where large-scale automation is necessary, often taking many hours to craft items and hundreds or thousands of hours to fully complete.
Focuses on automation and resource processing through scientific and mechanical means, utilizing systems like electricity (RF/FE/etc), air pressure, or rotation.
Neoforge is a fork of the Minecraft Forge available for versions 1.20.1+ of Minecraft. Many Forge mods are compatible with Neoforge and vice versa.

About
Description
This modpack is designed as a progression-driven sandbox that blends magic, technology, exploration, and creativity into a unified experience. Whether you prefer building massive factories, mastering arcane power, or venturing into dangerous new dimensions, the pack gives you multiple paths that naturally intertwine over time.
Core Features & Gameplay Impact ⚙️ Advanced Technology & Automation
Includes: Applied Energistics 2, Mekanism, Extreme Reactors, Hostile Neural Networks, Iron Jetpacks, Building Gadgets
What it adds:
Deep automation systems and large-scale resource processing Digital storage networks and item management Power generation from early-game setups to massive reactors Tools for efficient building and large-scale construction
How it affects gameplay: Technology becomes the backbone of long-term progression. You’ll transition from manual resource gathering to fully automated systems, allowing you to focus on optimization and expansion. As your base grows, managing power and logistics becomes a meaningful challenge rather than a chore.
🔮 Magic & Arcane Progression
Includes: Ars Nouveau, Apotheosis, Forbidden and Arcanus, Easy Magic
What it adds:
Custom spell creation and magical automation Enhanced enchanting and gear progression systems Unique magical crafting systems and powerful artifacts
How it affects gameplay: Magic offers an alternative (and often complementary) progression path to technology. Instead of machines, you harness customizable spells and rituals, giving you flexible solutions to combat, mobility, and resource gathering. The interplay between magic and tech encourages experimentation and hybrid playstyles.
🌍 Exploration & New Dimensions
Includes: The Twilight Forest, The Undergarden, Deeper and Darker, DimensionalDoors, Mowzie’s Mobs
What it adds:
Multiple fully realized dimensions with unique biomes, bosses, and progression New enemies with distinct mechanics and behaviors Unpredictable exploration through dimensional rifts

🧪 Resource Generation & Progression Systems
Includes: Mystical Agriculture, Hostile Neural Networks, Aquaculture 2
What it adds:
Renewable resource farming, including rare materials Data-driven mob farming systems Expanded fishing with new gear and rewards
How it affects gameplay: Resource gathering evolves from grind-heavy mining into scalable systems. You can choose between farming, automation, or exploration-based methods, giving you control over how you progress and reducing repetitive gameplay.
🏗️ Building, Decoration & Creativity
Includes: Chipped, Create (+ addons), Vista
What it adds:
Massive variety of decorative block variants Mechanical building systems and kinetic contraptions Tools for shaping terrain and enhancing visuals
How it affects gameplay: Building becomes a central part of the experience rather than an afterthought. You’re given the tools to create detailed, dynamic bases—from aesthetic builds to fully functional mechanical systems—encouraging creativity at every stage.
⚙️ Create Ecosystem
Includes: Create, Create Aeronautics, Create: Cheese Factory
What it adds:
Physics-inspired machinery and kinetic automation Moving contraptions, transport systems, and production lines Expansion into creative (and sometimes whimsical) factory systems
How it affects gameplay: Create offers a hands-on, visual approach to automation, contrasting with more abstract tech mods. Instead of menus, you build working machines in the world, making your factory feel alive and tangible.
🧰 Quality of Life & Accessibility
Includes: Easy Villagers, Artifacts, Relics, Essential Mod, Distant Horizons, Shower Core
What it adds:
Simplified villager management and trading Exploration rewards through unique gear and passive abilities Extended render distance and improved multiplayer accessibility
How it affects gameplay: These features smooth out frustration points and enhance immersion. The game feels more responsive and rewarding, letting you focus on progression, exploration, and creativity rather than tedious micromanagement.
🐹 World Charm & Atmosphere
Includes: Adorable Hamster Pets
What it adds:
Tamable companion pets with personality
How it affects gameplay: Adds a lighter, more personal touch to your world, making your base feel like a lived-in space rather than just a production hub.
Overall Experience
This modpack encourages you to choose your own path, while subtly pushing you to engage with multiple systems. You might begin as an explorer, transition into magic, and eventually build sprawling automated factories—or mix everything from the start.
The result is a world that evolves with you:
Early game: grounded survival and discovery Mid game: specialization and system building Late game: large-scale automation, powerful gear, and dimensional mastery
