Description

The Roaring 20's Oasis

Steam perfected. Combustion for the rich. Electricity for the mad.

It's the 1920s that never quite happened. Steam is everywhere — a perfected art, pistons singing in every basement, flywheels turning every street. The combustion engine is a rich man's novelty: loud, thirsty, gleaming in the carriage house of anyone with more money than patience. And electricity? Electricity lives in the madman's laboratory at the edge of town, behind blackout curtains, where the neighbors swear the lightning goes into the house. Somewhere past the last rail siding, an expedition is prying the lid off a tomb that should have stayed shut — and somebody has to build the engine that gets them home.

The Roaring 20's Oasis is a survival pack about building that world. Not a kitchen sink — a curated set around Create 6, tuned for multiplayer survival, that hands you the whole era: the boiler house, the railway, the oil field, the airship dock, the speakeasy behind the café, the detective's study and the dig site.

📜 The Stories

  • A hand-built quest layer (Questlog): 56 quests across 12 storylinesThe Age of Steam, The Expedition Society (learn the map, earn the frontier: sealed dossiers unlock jungle, ocean, desert, cave, nether and peak expeditions), The Madman's Laboratory (the sign on the door reads MIND THE SPARKS, and it means it), The Iron Empire's Timetable, The Oil Mafia (nobody has to get hurt — that's the beauty of it), The Alley Rats (a gang career from first shakedown to the gold-dressed underworld), The Gatsby Café, The Sky King's License and more. Real triggers, not checklists: kills verified by cannon fire, a quest that completes only when you're struck by lightning, another only when a live wire bites you.

🏭 The Industry

  • Create 6 — rotational power, contraptions, belts, packages and factory logistics. Steam is the perfected art, and this is its cathedral.
  • Steam 'n' Rails + Railways Navigator + Useful Railroads — build a proper railway empire and print the timetable to prove it.
  • Diesel Generators — the rich man's novelty, industrialized: prospect crude, raise a pumpjack, distill, and bolt down engines that cost more than the house they shake.
  • Immersive Engineering — wires strung pole to pole, coke ovens, blast furnaces, a revolver for the glovebox. The other school of industry.
  • Crafts & Additionsthe madman's laboratory. Alternators, coiled wire, humming batteries, a tesla coil if you dare.
  • Numismatics, Trading Floor, Package Couriers, conveyors, drawers — the economy: mint coins, open a bank, staff the trading floor.
  • Enchantment Industry — even magic gets the assembly-line treatment.
  • Big Cannons — cast artillery for when diplomacy fails. (It will.)

✈ The Frontier

  • Create Aeronautics + Aeroworks (early access) — physics airships, flown for real.
  • Immersive Aircraft + Man of Many Planes — crafted early-1900s planes; Do a Barrel Roll for elytra daredevils; Create Jetpack for the commute.
  • Create: Automotives — the motorcar, for those with more money than patience.

🗺 The Expeditions

  • Terralith + Tectonic terrain — a hundred dramatic biomes on pure vanilla blocks.
  • YUNG's complete suite — dungeons, strongholds, temples, fortresses, monuments, mineshafts, witch huts and the End island itself, rebuilt as sprawling ruins worth an Indiana Jones montage.
  • Structory, Explorify, Dungeons & Taverns, Towns & Towers, ChoiceTheorem's villages — a settled, storied world with taverns worth drinking in.
  • Exposure cameras — photograph the summit, develop it in the darkroom, frame the proof. Map Atlases for the cartographer's satchel.
  • The Undergarden & Deeper and Darker — two entire dimensions below the map's edge.
  • Lootr — every ruin's loot is per-player: no racing your friends to the chest.
  • From The Fog — sometimes, at the treeline, something watches. Probably nothing.

🐾 The Wild

  • Naturalist, Critters & Companions, Ecologics — bears that sleep, snakes that slither, otters, penguins, red pandas: a frontier that's alive.
  • Creeper & Enderman Overhauls — every biome's monsters wear local colors. Guard Villagers — the towns hired muscle.
  • Ribbits — swamp frog-folk with banjos. Swamp jazz is real.

🥂 The Café

  • Charta + Charta Casino — real multiplayer card tables: Blackjack and Texas Hold'em in the back room.
  • Jackpot — slots, plinko, billiards, darts, and a Dealer who sells the chips. The polite fiction that everybody wins.
  • Let's Do: Vinery — vineyard to glass. Chef's Delight + Farmer's Delight — a kitchen worth a reservation. Etched — press custom vinyl from any audio link and load the gramophone.

🏙 The City

  • Supplementaries + Amendments, Bells & Whistles, Handcrafted, the full Macaw's kit, Create Deco/Interiors/Garnished, Copycats+, Framed Glass — gilded avenues, smoky docklands, station architecture worthy of the age.
  • Quark — a hundred small vanilla-plus comforts.

💀 The Bones

Death is permanent scenery here: your body lies where you fell, turns to a skeleton after half an hour, and holds your goods forever until someone claims them. Picked-clean bones fade after five hours. Lava is the only true undertaker — the Furnace keeps what it takes. And in the nether, remember the dress code: wear gold where they can see it.

⚙ Smooth & Fair

  • EMI + JEI, AppleSkin, Mouse Tweaks, Controlling, Carry On, Sophisticated Backpacks & Storage, Nether Portal Fix, Seamless Sleep, Better Third Person, borderless fullscreen.
  • Full performance suite: Sodium + Iris (shader-ready), Lithium, ModernFix, FerriteCore, ImmediatelyFast, culling mods, Clumps, Dynamic FPS — and Sound Physics so the caves echo like caves.
  • Four bundled resource packs (Dramatic Skys, 3D crops/rails/lanterns) — enable them once in Options → Resource Packs, Dramatic Skys on top.

⚠ Honest notes

  • Create Aeronautics / Sable are EARLY ACCESS, and a handful of mods ride beta/alpha channels (tracked and pinned deliberately). Airship physics is glorious and occasionally temperamental — back up worlds you love.
  • Best experienced in multiplayer survival; runs fine in singleplayer too. Dedicated-server operators: client-only mods are flagged in the index; add your own proxy-forwarding mod if you run one.
  • 6–8 GB of RAM allocated is comfortable.

Updating

Installed through the Modrinth App (or Prism), the pack updates in-app — when a new version ships, hit Update and you're current. Versions are pinned exactly; never mix versions with your server's.

Pack curated by Corsix. All credit to the mod authors who built this era piece by piece — every mod is downloaded from its official Modrinth release, exactly as its author published it.
