About

Description

The Doomed Paradise I focuses on adventures and exploring, similar to the legendary Hexxit Modpack, but surviving is harder and the world is full of dangers. (Also some of Hexxit´s core dungeon mods are included) The dungeons itself are quite hard and are mostly recommended to be conquered in multiplayer. A bunch of new dimensions and bosses are added to keep you from getting bored. Other than your usual adventure modpack there is also some tech involved. (Immersive Engineering because it fits the theme at least a bit and mekanism because of the Galacticraft addon) Overall I chose mods that are not too famous and well-known. Most big mods like Biomes O´ Plenty, Tinker´s Construct, Thermal Expansion or Applied Energistics2 were skipped in that process. The Doomed Paradise offers a unique Minecraft experience, never felt before because of its world generation mods and sound system.  Disabling sounds is not recommended, they are key to improving your gameplay experience. (The Pack is still very much in developement and surely contains some issues/overpowered content)

This modpack also includes a music player mod that can be accessed by pressing F8. This mod gives you the option to bring music from youtube or other platforms directly into your game. From the experiences I have had, dark Lovecraftian background music (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oxvDnaWe5XE&t=2267s) really fits the overall gloomy and grim atmosphere. (Especially whilst exploring caves, dungeons,  the nether or many of the new dimensions. The night might also be creepier with such music equipped) These effects could be even further enhanced by enabling rain all the time, to create similar vibes also during daytime, though it can decrease your overall pc performance and simply annoy you too. (With the command /weather rain 1000000 it will rain for 277 hours of ingame-time in every biome where rain is possible, keep in mind that this also includes the Tropicraft dimension where you´d probably prefer sunny weather)

Here are some of the Core mods The Doomed Paradise I uses:

Vampirism (Become a vampire, or vampire hunter)

TheBetweenlands (Very challenging new amazing dimension)

The Midnight (A fascinating dark new dimension)

Recurrent Complex (New structures all over the place)

Pneumaticcraft (Tech mod that uses mainly pressurized air)

Mekanism (Tech mod, needed to conquer the solar system)

HardcoreDarkness (removes the minimum of light that usually always persits within minecraft and makes nighttime overall more challenging, depending on the different moon phases, can be changed in config)

LycanitesMobs (Many new very special mobs)

Immersive Engineering (a retro style tech mod, I included some addon-mods to it)

Grue (Sooner or later you´ll find out)

Ice and Fire (New historic mythological and dangerous creatures)

Millénaire (A mod that improves village life)

Cyclic (A mod that adds many new practical things)

ChocolateQuest (A newer version of the Hexxit dungeon mod)

OhTheBiomesYou´ll go (The world generation mod of choice)

AstralSorcery (A magic-themed mod where harnessing the power of star constellations is key)

AbyssalCraft (A Lovecraftian-themed dimension mod)

AetherII (Who has never tried to build the iconic Aether portal in vanilla, be honest!)

BloodMagic (Rather well-known magic mod that involves gathering power from blood)
