Description

Thank you for looking at Tinker's Classic

It is HIGHLY recommended when playing that when generating a world you change the world type to "Moderner Beta" and then press Customize -> World Preset -> Beta Custom -> and select "Beta Vanilla"

Tinker's Classic is a modpack dedicated to tweaking Minecraft in ways that aim to improve core things like gear progression. It's meant to bring back the feel of older minecraft versions while giving access to modern Minecraft's content like block variety and nether generation. The main inspiration for this modpack is most definitely Better Than Adventure, for MC version 1.7.3. Unless huge changes come in recent updates, this pack will forever remain on 1.20.1 as I see no interest in updating the pack for additions that quite frankly feel either too small, too op, or too different from old versions of minecraft. (happy ghast and spears)

Tool And Ore Changes:

Tools have been rebalanced and ores have had their strength levels changed. Iron and gold now requires at least copper tools to be mined, gold has been buffed to have the mining power of diamond, diamond and emerald ore now requires netherite to be mined. Diamonds and emeralds have also been moved from the overworld to the nether.

Bed and Sleeping Changes:
Wool now is exclusively obtained only from shearing sheep. Shears have had their recipes made more expensive, and sleeping in beds now speed up game ticks to increase crop growth overnight.

Farming and Crop Changes:
Farming now requires more attention as you need to manually water the soil yourself. Crops that would usually be unobtainable due to the removal of things like villages now spawn around the world as harvestable bushes, functioning similarly to berry bushes.

Armor and Tool Recipe Changes:
Armors and tools have had their recipes changed to increase the longevity of certain tools, along with making the utilization of tools more thoughtful and making armor progression more fleshed out. Chainmail is now craftable with chainmail scrap, being made with iron and or copper nuggets. Leather can now be crafted into 3 leather strips which are then used to make leather armor. Copper and iron armor require chainmail armor pieces in their recipes to make it more expensive. Iron armor is now used to craft netherite, diamond, and emerald armor and tools at a smithing table.
