Keep in mind that this is only recommended for users that have a good amount of cores available on the CPU.

Head into the config folder and locate a file called forge-client.toml, open it in a text editor.
Now look for alwaysSetupTerrainOffThread, change it from false to true. Hit save. Restart the game for the changes to take effect.

It's recommended to allocate at least 6-8 gb ram to your Minecraft client.
Be sure the launcher you are currently using is on the latest Java 8, 64-bit version.
You can do this by putting -version:1.8+ in your java paramaters.
