OPTIFINE: TopGalactic 1.01 now needs the latest Optifine or G5 found here: https://optifine.net/adloadx?f=OptiFine_1.12.2_HD_U_G5.jar

Do NOT use E3 Optifine anymore as this will crash.

FORGE: Please use AT LEAST Forge version 2860 to fix a serious exploit concerning Java and Log4j. TopGalactic 1.01 comes with and requires Forge 2860.

SERVERS: Server owners be aware that enable-command-block=true must be set in your server.properties file or certain structures will not generate correctly and be missing villagers! (just read included readme for servers)

Me and my friends were looking for some pack to play minecraft but we couldn't find a nice pack for us that we would like so we decided to create our own pack with mods - TopGalacticPack.

We chose such mods for this pack that we really liked for adventures and exploring the whole world.

You can expect new mobs, weapons, animals, bosses, dungeons, planets, rockets, structures, biomes.

Automatic Install (recommended):

CURSEFORGE LAUNCHER:  The Twitch Launcher has been replaced with curseforge's own launcher which you can download here:  https://curseforge.overwolf.com/

This is the easiest way to install TopGalactic.  Link your Minecraft game, go to browse modpacks, find TopGalactic and install, click play, that's it!

Anyone moving from the Twitch launcher to the CurseForge launcher will still automatically keep all profiles and modpacks.

Manual Install (advanced users only):

• FORGE:  The LATEST VERSION of Forge for 1.12.2 is HIGHLY recommended!  This fixes a serious Java exploit, so please use Forge version 2860 or higher.  The version I have currently packaged with TopGalactic is Forge 1.12.2 - 14.23.5.2860

• PARAMETERS:  The default 1GB of RAM that is allocated is NOT enough.  Recommend allocating 3 to 4GB's of RAM.  You can do this by going to Launch Options, enabling JVM Arguments, and changing "-Xmx1G" to "-Xmx4G".  My JVM Arguments looks like this:

-Xmx4G -XX:+UseConcMarkSweepGC -XX:+CMSIncrementalMode -XX:-UseAdaptiveSizePolicy -Xmn128M

• FILES:  (For manual install using the server pack only, which can also be used for client as well) Make sure there is nothing in your Mods or Config folders, then copy the folders over from this modpack into your Minecraft directory.

• OPTIONAL RECOMMENDATIONS:  I'd personally recommend the use of Optifine (TopGalactic 1.01 now requires G5!  The old E3 version of Optifine will CRASH) (https://optifine.net/adloadx?f=OptiFine_1.12.2_HD_U_G5.jar) (make sure for 1.12.2) and some shaders if your system can handle them to bring out the best with this modpack and Minecraft, and also the Chroma Hills resourcepack which I used for building this modpack and can be found here:  http://www.chromahills.com/

OPTIFINE WARNING:  You MUST disable "Fast Render" or you will get the black screen bug when certain effects try to activate, also make sure you have at least "internal shaders" on in the shader settings, anything is fine, just not "none".

Here are some of the major features from included mods that have the biggest impact on the game so you know what to expect.

Key Features:

You have to watch out for the temperature of cold and hot there is a new drink bar now you have to drink drinks not to die.

You also have to be careful at night because there may be an infection that can turn into various monsters!

Mutant monsters are also rare

There are various new monsters that you also have to watch out for because they can have new powers.

There are various dungeons or towers with monsters and bosses.

You can build your own boat or ship and attach a steering wheel to it and you can sail them across the oceans.

There are various dangerous worms, for example, if you drink water from the river, you will get poisoned.

new rockets and boss planets have been added you can fly and build your base on another planet but remember to take plenty of oxygen with you!

There are also new portals to new dimensions!

There are also various dragons that are rare or birds that can be flown after being tamed, you need special meat for that, and for dragons you need to raise an egg.

There are various pieces of furniture so you won't get bored of decorating your home or base!

You need to upgrade your skills to use better items.







Don't run too much as you can get dehydrated.

Build a base as quickly as possible to survive the first night.

Gather items for defense as quickly as possible.

Don't approach dragons without good armor.

Build a good base first and collect good items and weapons to start building the rocket!

Gain a lot of exp and improve your skills!
