About

Description

This is the #ComeBlockHome modpack, made by KirinDave and Ryalo. Special thanks to Sawtooth & Dusty who have given many hours to early testing and balance.

Many thanks to Sirtas and Mowmaster for putting up with my prattle.

Unlikely Reunion is a modpack in the style of the venerable Resonant Rise, made by the original pack engineer for RR. It attempts to recapture the feel of earlier Resonant Rise and Yogspack complete packs, which feature many mods selected to provide a "many playstyles are valid" approach to playing modded Minecraft. UR tries to make it possible to limit your playthrough strictly to technology or strictly to magic and get competitive and fun results, without changing recipes or creating many artificial "gates" that players need to pass through to enjoy their favorite mods. Special attention has been paid to making sure the pack performs relatively well in multiplayer servers.

It features many popular mods including:

  • Mekanism
  • Create
  • Tetra
  • Powah
  • Mystical Agriculture
  • Vampirism
  • Mahou Tsukai

It also includes some exciting (relative) newcomers like:

  • Pedestals
  • ElementalCraft
  • Mana & Artifice

Release Notes:

  1.  Currently a lot of mods have a config parsing bug that means I can't fully customize the configs. That's why you get duplicate books at the start and Lead and Silver are less dense than I'd like.
  2.  Resourceful Bees work is incomplete, leading to somewhat haphazard spawning and breeding rules. These will be fixed in an upcoming release to be slightly more coherent, but get your fancy bees while you can!

Planned features:

  1. The pack menu is just Ice & Fire. We'll fix that soon.
  2. Some basic quest lines should come into existence soon. I don't believe in excessive handholding in a Sink pack, but a few "here's how you bootstrap yourself" quests are already sketched out.
  3. ProjectE will be in the pack once there is some progression work done but the aforementioned bug means we can't have a magical endgame yet.
  4. Some mods will have recipes modified from "The End" or "The Nether" to use "The Undergarden" instead.
  5.  More modded materials will be made available to Tetra soon.
