Welcome to Visceral, an immersive RPG modpack built around magic.

Once you've come into the world you will come across various deadly creatures mystical and magical.

Dragons lurking around the mountainside waiting to ambush you or burn villages to cinder.

Trolls hiding in the forests that want to turn you inside-out.

What will you do? Study the arcane to grow stronger and wiser?

Harness the power of the stars with Astral Sorcery or use your life essence with Blood Magic.

Magic not your style? Various weapons and armors to craft and collect for use on your adventures.

You'll certainly need something to survive the dungeons, otherwise, how else will you level up?

I guess you could farm or fish for experience too...

Main features:

• Realistic tree growth with the Dynamic Trees mod paired with it's compatibility mods for Biomes O' Plenty, Natura and Thaumcraft for breathtaking trees in your world.
• Hundreds of world generated ruins and dungeons to explore with mods like Recurrent Complex and AtomicStryker's Battle Towers.
• Visceral combat difficulty with no health regeneration without healing supplies like bandages or plaster using mods like Rough Tweaks. You are much easier to kill having locational damage with the First Aid mod. A well placed headshot from a skeleton is no mere flesh wound.
• Increased survival difficulty with weather and seasons to burn you to a crisp or chill you to the bone. What you wear matters and you must regulate your body temperature with Tough as nails and Serene Seasons.
• Magic is plentiful in the world with mods like Blood Magic and Thaumcraft to experiment with and grow power.
• Levels and experience is important with added skills and skill requirements. For example you can no longer steal all the wheat from villages without leveling up your farming in the Reskillable mod. (WIP on adding more skill requirements for items in game) Professions added with the Level up! Reloaded mod.
• Tired of boring old villages with the inhabitants just groaning and doing noting? We added villages and hamlets that generate around the world that grow with time with the Millenaire mod. Trading with currency, vast language system and different cultures breathing new life into the world.
• Tamable and deadly dragons and other strong mobs around the world with mods like Ice and Fire: Dragons.
• Immerse yourself in the world with added sound and visuals with the Dynamic Surroundings mod and Enhancedvisuals mod.
