Description
Wanderworks
Minecraft 1.21.1 • NeoForge
Wanderworks is a modpack for players who like getting distracted. You go out to grab one thing, find a cave, spot a weird structure, check out a village, come home with a full backpack, and suddenly your starter base needs a storage room, workshop, train line and maybe a magic corner too.
The pack is built around exploration, building, automation, combat and small quality-of-life changes. There is no fixed route. Build a cozy base, mess around with Create, explore ruins, chase better gear, decorate a town, set up machines, or just wander until something catches your eye.
Because this pack includes many large structure modifications, using Chunky to pre-generate the area is highly recommended.
Suggested Chunky commands:
/chunky spawn
/chunky radius <x>
/chunky shape circle
/chunky start
Replace <x> with your desired chunk radius.

Explore a world that keeps pulling you forward
The world has more to find without feeling completely random. Mods like Terralith, Biomes O’ Plenty, Regions Unexplored, YUNG’s Better structures, Towns and Towers, When Dungeons Arise and Integrated Dungeons and Structures add new terrain, caves, villages, ruins and dungeons to stumble into.
Walking in a direction should usually lead to something interesting.
- More varied terrain and underground areas
- Extra structures, dungeons, villages and ruins
- More creatures, loot and reasons to keep moving
- Good for both quick trips and longer expeditions

Build something that actually feels like yours
There are plenty of blocks, furniture and decoration mods, so your base does not have to be just machines and chest walls. Macaw’s mods, Chipped, Rechiseled, Supplementaries, Handcrafted, Another Furniture, MrCrayfish’s Furniture, Create: Interiors and others give you a lot of room to make builds feel lived in.
Build a cozy house, messy workshop, village, factory, mine entrance, train station or whatever fits your world.
- More building blocks and decorations
- Furniture, roofs, windows, bridges, paths and small details
- Storage options with Sophisticated Storage, Iron Chests and Sophisticated Backpacks
- Works for cozy builds, factories or both

Automate, tinker and overcomplicate things
Create is one of the main parts of the pack, with addons like Create: Crafts & Additions, Create: Diesel Generators, Create: Central Kitchen, Create Slice & Dice, Create: Bells & Whistles, Create Deco, Create: Copycats+, Create: Hypertubes and Create Aeronautics.
You can make simple farms, overcomplicated processing lines, trains, contraptions, airships, or whatever machine idea you end up stuck on at 2 AM. Mekanism is also included for players who want more tech progression.
- Create-based automation
- Trains, belts, contraptions and production lines
- Extra tech with Mekanism
- Useful tools for farming, crafting and resource processing

Survival with a bit more bite
Survival has a bit more bite, but it is not meant to be miserable. There are stronger enemies, more weapons, armor, accessories, magic and RPG-style progression.
Mods like Better Combat, Rogues & Warriors, Archers, Wizards, Paladins & Priests, Artifacts, Jewelry, Immersive Armors, Fantasy Armor, Vic’s Point Blank and L_Ender’s Cataclysm give you different ways to build your character and prepare for harder fights.
- More weapons, armor and accessories
- Magic and RPG-style progression
- Tougher fights and better loot
- Different playstyles: melee, ranged, spells, mobility or a mix

Less friction, more playing
A lot of the pack is made of small changes that make long worlds nicer to play. JEI, EMI, Jade, AppleSkin, Mouse Tweaks, Inventory Tweaks, Waystones, Nature’s Compass, Xaero’s Minimap, Xaero’s World Map, Lootr, Carry On, Corpse and Inventory HUD+ help cut down on annoying little problems.
There are also visual and performance mods like Distant Horizons, Iris Shaders, Sodium, Lithium, ModernFix, FerriteCore, Entity Culling, Fresh Animations, AmbientSounds and Dynamic Lights to help the world feel smoother and nicer.

Who is this pack for?
Wanderworks is for players who like a bit of everything: exploring, building, decorating, automating, fighting, looting, farming and slowly making a world feel lived in.
It is not a strict quest pack and it does not force one playstyle. Some days you might build a cozy house. Other days you might set up a Create factory, raid a dungeon, hunt for a biome, upgrade your gear, or completely forget what you were supposed to be doing.
Recommended
- Minecraft: 1.21.1
- Loader: NeoForge
- RAM: around 8–10 GB recommended
- Worlds: a new world is recommended when major worldgen mods are added or updated
Small note
The pack is still being tuned. Balance, configs, visuals and worldgen may change between versions. Feedback, screenshots and bug reports are welcome — i am doing all of this in my very limited free time, so please excuse bugs etc...
All mods, textures and libraries belong to their respective creators. Wanderworks simply brings them together into one curated pack.
