Wasteland Apocalypse Survival [WAS]

This modpack aims to create a feeling of dread and horror as you trudge through an apocalyptic environment. Featuring revamped hunger, thirst, temperature, and an unforgiving health system, expect to have your survival skills put to the test. Try to survive solo or team up with friends to brave the wasteland together in a cooperative survival experience. This particular pack works best with the wastelands world setting in the Lost Cities custom world generation, though you can still experience plenty of challenge in any other of the many world settings.

Several story-mode maps are planned for release in the near future, each being small isolated experiences separate from the core gameplay loop of the modpack. They serve as bite-sized romps through the possibilities of story telling in the wasteland.
Also this pack is NOT FOR KIDS! There's guns, drugs and foul language as well as mature themes throughout the experience, even while in singleplayer survival.

WAS has several carefully selected mods which all work in an intricately crafted harmony all with the goal of giving you the toughest possible wasteland survival experience. With a fully realised tech-tree & quest line and plenty of environments, structures, and world generation to explore you're not going to get bored any time soon.

As mentioned previously, several story-centric maps are planned for release soon, each with their own individual stories within an interconnected universe. Play as a wanderer struggling to survive, an inmate escaping an abandoned facility, a gladiator forced to fight, and much more.

WAS has a small yet dedicated community on CurseForge and on Discord. Consider joining the official Discord server to be notified about updates regarding the pack, chat with fellow survivors, and hop into a party with other players looking for groups to play with. We're a very welcoming community always looking for new members!

Optifine is REQUIRED to render some items in the modpack. If you're experiencing crashes, make sure you have it installed before contacting us. You can learn how to install it into any CurseForge modpack with this link. The video covers the CurseForge launcher specifically, but it's the same process for other launchers such as GDLauncher.

If you wish to play with shaders enabled you must turn off "bluronaim" in VMW's mod config file, not from in-game, (this is done by default for versions 0.16+). However, playing with shaders is not recommended as it can cause lighting issues with some with the custom models involved in the pack
