Welcome to the​ World of Dragons​ adventurer!

In this world of technology and magic it is your quest to subdue the dragons, using
any combination of technology and magic you so desire. To help you in your quest there
are special armors that you can craft from the carcasses of the dragons you kill. You
may also encounter villages with a questing shopkeeper and village lords that have
special needs. Each has good rewards should you appease them.

World of Dragons is a rich and immersive experience built around Ice and Fire, with deep progression systems thanks to Mine and Slash. As you begin your journey, it’s totally natural to want to find that perfect, peaceful place to build your base—but before you venture too far from spawn, it helps to know how the world is designed.

The further you travel, the more challenging the world becomes. Hostile creatures grow stronger the farther you go—but so do the rewards. Defeating these enemies can grant powerful gear, exciting spells, and Mine and Slash (MS) experience to grow your gear, spells, and skills.

Progression in World of Dragons works a bit like a fantasy MMORPG. You’ll gain the most experience from monsters close to your level. Battling much stronger enemies won’t fast-track your progress, and farming weaker ones will eventually yield less XP. But don’t worry—your adventure is meant to be a journey. The game gently guides you by letting you know when you’re facing foes that are a bit too strong—or too easy.

Explore at your own pace, learn as you go, and most of all—enjoy the world we’ve crafted for you.

Because of how Mine & Slash Reloaded works, solo play can be a little more challenging. The mod dynamically scales monster health and damage—so as your level increases, so does theirs. This means that if you head out early to build a base or start a colony, even a humble pig or wandering zombie could unexpectedly knock you out in a single hit. It’s not meant to frustrate you—it’s just how the world stays engaging and meaningful as you grow.

That said—yes, absolutely, you can play solo if that’s how you prefer to enjoy the game. At its core, World of Dragons is a kitchen-sink style modpack filled with both magic and technology paths to explore. But because we wanted to make adventuring more rewarding, some systems—like Divergent Underground—were added to make mining a bit more thoughtful and immersive. For example, diamonds drop in chunks and need refining, and certain ores get tougher depending on whether they’re buried deep underground or exposed to the sky.

One key mechanic to keep in mind: if you choose not to level your character through Mine & Slash progression, your crafted weapons and spells won’t scale effectively. The adventure path is designed to enhance everything you do—so it’s there to support, not limit, your choices.

While it’s completely valid to follow a more techy or magical route, just be aware that those paths are long and intricate—possibly even more so than classic progression packs like SevTech Ages. And because monsters in the world continue to grow stronger no matter your path, skipping combat altogether might lead to some unexpectedly tough encounters down the line.

If your passion lies in building, brewing, or experimenting, that’s wonderful! Just know that these roles tend to shine even brighter when supported by others who are out adventuring. Maybe your alchemical creations or tech innovations become the secret weapon in a boss fight! That kind of synergy is always magical.

In the end, the best approach is to balance your creative pursuits with exploration. The world is waiting for you—with challenges, treasures, and surprises meant to make every step of your journey truly your own.
