Description
This modpack was created for my private server. It's Pixelmon, with all the other good stuff from Thaumcraft to Chisel and everything in between. A warning that this is a reasonably meaty modpack, with 131 mods so far. Most modern desktop computers should be able to handle it no problem, but be wary of laptops in particular with less than 6gb of RAM. (Constant crashes due to low memory would probably benefit from switching to the official Pixelmon modpack instead).
A modlist can be found below. It is now my mission to find those mods that lend themselves to a complete Pokemon experience, with as many options available as can be provided without causing item and resource bloat. (Not that that's a strict rule...) Some mods, such as Level Up! Reloaded and Project MMO, have been selected to enhance gameplay and make Minecraft feel more like an RPG. Others, like Antique Maps, are included just to enhance that 3D-GB vibe base-Pixelmon has in spades, while still others promote active exploration of the environment which is, after all, The Usual Trope. There are mods here that allow you to build furniture and place decorations, give the world more possibilities for resource gathering, and to enhance certain biomes to allow more varied Pokemon spawns.

Mods used:
Advanced Machines | Advanced Solar Panels | Akashic Tome | Applied Energistics | Attribute Fix | Baubles | Better Diving | Better Foliage | Biomes O' Plenty | Blockcraftery | Blood Magic | Born in a Barn | Botania | Buildcraft | Camera Mod | Carry On | ChickenChunks | Chisel | Chisel and Bits | ColorChat | Comforts | Compacter | Cooking for Blockheads | CraftTweaker2 | Davinci's Vessels | Decocraft | Disenchanter | Dynamic Surroundings | Enchanting Plus | Fence Overhaul | Find Me | Forestry | Future MC | Gameshark | Growthcraft | Guidebook | HWYLA | Immersive Craft | Industrial Craft | Inspirations | Iron Chests | Just Enough Items | Level Up! Reloaded | LootTweaker | Moving World | Mo' Villages | Mr Crayfish's Furniture Mod | Mystical Agriculture | Natura | Nature's Compass | NetherEX | Paragliders | Pixelmon | Pixelmon Information | Placeable Items | PneumaticCraft | Potion Fingers | Project MMO | Quark | Railcraft | Redstone Arsenal | Redstone Flux | Seed Protect | SimplyJetpacks2 | Skewers | Steve's Carts Reborn | Subterranean Waters | Thaumcraft | Thaumic Energistics | Thaumic Tinkerer | The Aether | TekTopia | Thermal | The Camping Mod | Tinker's Construct | Tinker's Tool Levelling | Torch Master | Translocators | Travelers Backpack | Twilight Forest | Wall-Jump! | Whoosh | Yung's Better Caves | Yung's Better Mineshafts...and all the dependent files and libraries required!
131 mods total - there's enough here to create a fantastic world to play in without breaking lower-end computers.
Recommended specs:
5-6gb client-side.
3gb server side for initialisation, +more for player connections.
Optional resourcepacks included:
Firewolf - it blends beautifully with the Pixelmon unique items and unifies the art style almost entirely, without causing FPS issues. It's the best resourcepack I've found for a "true" Pokémon experience.
Pixelmon OST - an amazing collection of original music that evokes the various Pokemon games beautifully.
Aether resource pack - Aether-specific blocks are handled through this, enabling will make the Aether look better.
Best experienced with:
OptiFine, as ever. You can find the right version for this modpack here.
What the modpack does:
- Adds a bunch of new content to play, including new biomes to explore, resources to gather and items to craft.
- Allows for mapping of your environment with multiple teleportation methods (pick your favourite!)
- Customises the look and feel of the game (when Firewolf is enabled).
- Enables advanced enchanting possibilities and adds magic to your game.
- Takes all of the above, and then also adds Pokemon.
Known issues:
- Updating the mods Konkrete or FancyMenu via the CurseForge launcher will cause the game to crash. Therefore, it is better to use the versions provided in the pack, which are stable.
Please if you use this modpack and you think of a way I could do something better, definitely let me know :D If you have any questions, I will try my best to answer! I am not smart. I will however do everything I can to find an answer to any technical issues.
