About

Description

Zero 2 Hero is a progression-focused superhero adventure modpack where you begin as a normal survivor and slowly build yourself into a world-level, dimensional, and eventually cosmic powerhouse.

The pack is built around earning your power instead of spawning with it. You’ll explore massive structures, build a functioning colony, hunt monsters and bosses, develop advanced technology, travel through dangerous dimensions, and slowly collect multiple power systems that can work alongside each other.

At the center of the pack are two major superhero progression paths:

Lantern Corps powers and Alien Evolution / Omnitrix technology.

You are not forced to choose between them.

A Lantern Ring and an Omnitrix can be used at the same time, allowing you to switch between their respective abilities and progression trees as your character becomes increasingly powerful. Your Lantern abilities can remain part of your normal combat kit while your Omnitrix gives you an entirely different collection of alien forms and specialized abilities.

Recommended Progression

The pack is intentionally open-ended, but there is a loose progression path that gives the best experience.

Early Game — Become a Lantern

Start like a normal Minecraft survivor. Establish a home, gather resources, explore nearby structures, and begin developing your MineColonies settlement.

Your first major superhero objective should be obtaining a Lantern Ring.

Lantern progression gives you a strong early-to-mid game power set without immediately making every other part of the pack irrelevant. Train your ring, unlock more abilities, and begin using those powers to explore farther from home and survive stronger enemies.

This is also a good time to:

  • establish your MineColonies settlement
  • build farms and basic infrastructure
  • explore YUNG structures and When Dungeons Arise locations
  • begin fighting smaller bosses and powerful mobs
  • collect rare materials instead of immediately spending everything you find
  • build defenses around your growing settlement

Mid Game — Begin the Omnitrix Journey

Once you have established yourself and developed your Lantern abilities, begin seriously searching for Alien Evolution structures and Galvan technology.

Look for alien crash sites, Galvan structures, Machine facilities, suspicious blocks, and other Alien Evolution content.

Start stockpiling materials such as:

  • Galvan Scrap
  • Titanium
  • Galvan components
  • Machine Keys
  • alien technology and DNA-related items

Your first major Omnitrix goal is obtaining the Prototype Omnitrix.

From there, actually use your transformations. Level your aliens, unlock their abilities, earn Omnitrix progression, and eventually work toward more advanced versions of the watch.

A loose Omnitrix path is:

Prototype → Recalibrated → Completed Omnitrix

You do not need to abandon your Lantern Ring when this happens. The idea is that your character gradually becomes someone capable of wielding both cosmic energy and alien technology.

Mid/Late Game — Build Your Power Base

As your superhero progression grows, your actual world should grow with it.

Instead of keeping everything inside one starter house, build dedicated facilities for the major parts of the pack:

Lantern Hall
A headquarters for your Lantern gear, power progression, suits, trophies, and cosmic artifacts.

Galvan / Omnitrix Laboratory
Store Titanium, Galvan Scrap, DNA samples, Omnitrix components, alien technology, and recovered Machine equipment.

Mekanism Industrial Complex
Move from ordinary furnaces into large-scale ore processing, power generation, automation, and advanced machinery.

MineColonies Settlement
Grow your base into an actual civilization with builders, warehouses, couriers, food production, guards, researchers, and specialized workers.

Boss Trophy Hall
Display rewards from Cataclysm, Mowzie's Mobs, Monster Expansion, Eternal Hunts, Ice and Fire, and other major encounters.

Space Center
Use Ad Astra to eventually leave the planet entirely and begin the pack's space progression.

Exploration and Combat

The world is deliberately much more dangerous than vanilla Minecraft.

You will encounter content from mods such as:

  • Cataclysm
  • Mowzie's Mobs
  • Monster Expansion
  • Born in Chaos
  • Ice and Fire
  • Alex's Caves
  • Twilight Forest
  • The Aether
  • Eternal Hunts
  • Alien Evolution
  • Improved Mobs
  • Zombie Awareness

Because of this, becoming powerful doesn't mean the game immediately becomes harmless. Improved enemies, dangerous structures, major bosses, dragons, hostile dimensions, and increasingly difficult encounters are meant to keep giving you something stronger to fight.

Don't rush directly into the hardest bosses.

Start with ordinary exploration and smaller encounters, then use your growing Lantern and Omnitrix abilities to move into increasingly dangerous content.

Build a Civilization, Not Just a Base

MineColonies is another major part of the pack.

Rather than treating the colony as background decoration, gradually build it into the civilization that exists alongside your superhero headquarters.

Focus first on the basic colony economy:

Builder → food → Warehouse → Couriers → resource production → guards → University → advanced professions

As your own character goes from ordinary survivor to superhero, your settlement should similarly evolve from a few wooden buildings into a protected, technologically advanced city.

Endgame

Eventually your progression can include:

Lantern mastery
advanced Omnitrix forms
Mekanism technology
powerful weapons and artifacts
major boss hunting
dragon encounters
Aether and Twilight Forest progression
Alex's Caves expeditions
space travel through Ad Astra
a fully developed MineColonies civilization

The goal isn't simply to beat the Ender Dragon.

The goal is to go from:

a normal survivor with almost nothing

to

a Lantern-powered, Omnitrix-wielding hero running an advanced civilization and fighting monsters, dragons, dimensional bosses, alien machines, and cosmic threats.

Start small. Earn your powers. Build your world. Become something ridiculous.
