Description

About The Mod Built for Fabric , this mod introduces a simple yet highly useful mechanic: allowing standard Sponges to absorb lava blocks exactly like they do with water.

Features

  • Sponges can now soak up surrounding lava blocks upon placement.

  • Admin Control: Includes a new /lavasponge command (requires OP permissions) that allows server operators to toggle the lava-absorbing feature on and off globally at any time.

How It Affects User Experience Clearing large pools of lava in the Nether or during deep underground mining can be a frustrating and dangerous task. With this mod, players can easily and safely clear out lava pools to make room for builds, find hidden ores, or create safe pathways. Additionally, the new command gives server administrators full flexibility—allowing them to disable the feature temporarily for specific events, minigames, or balancing purposes without needing to uninstall the mod or restart the server.
